Well, I suppose you could call me a cheerful and naturally quirky 20-ish film student. I was actually raised without television throughout most of my childhood, but it all became moot when I discovered the internet somewhere around the tender age of twelve.

I've always loved comic books, but i was introduced to manga and anime in the midst of high school. I started with Juvenile Orion, Ceres, Fruits Basket, and went on from there.

I can be fairly picky about what I watch/read, but that's mostly based on if I think the premise sounds interesting. I wouldn't say I'm an impeccable judge of quality or anything... at least, not yet.

I don't have that many people to talk to in real life about my favorite series and such, so I welcome hellos and comments from folks here. So feel free to say hi!

As others have probably noted, favorite and least favorite genres can't really cover the width and breadth of one's tastes. I enjoy mixtures of fantasy, romance, action, adventure, sci-fi, drama, and comedy.  I'm not adverse to elements of horror, mystery, or magical girl. And just because something entails mecha, slice of life, or sports doesn't mean I won't give it a chance if the main idea fascinates me.  There are some category names in there that I don't even know the meaning of, but I'd be willing to try those too.

Hello there! Just wanted to let you know that the Blog feature is going away in about 2 months, as part of this site's redesign. If you want to save any of your posted content, you should move it to another place.

If your blog contains a review of a manga or an anime, it can be added to this site as an actual review. You can do this by going to the series' page and clicking on 'Add or update a review for this anime!'.

If it's about something from your daily life, you can always post it on your profile or in the General Discussion page on the forums. Any anime and manga related discussion can be posted in the following subsections: General Anime/Specific Anime or General Manga/Specific Manga.

Note that in order to be able to post on the forums, you'll need a seperate Forum ID. If you don't already have one, you'll need to create one - using the same username is the easiest - as the two features are yet to be merged.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me (you can post a comment on my profile) and I'll be glad to try to assist ^^

Any recommendations? I've watched this anime which is not that great; it's kind of like a cross between Miracle Train's reverse harem and cheesiness with Inuyasha's setting.  Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan.  Perhaps you've heard about it.  Sigh...so hard to find a good reverse harem anime.  A lot of them have unresolved endings or are just plain bad.  When will there ever be one that matches Ouran? T^T

Glad to find someone who has similar preferences in anime as I do!  I find I have trouble finishing series unless they're very suspensful like Death Note or Code Geass. I like your anime and manga lists and agree with almost all of your ratings.  It's great that such an old manga like Hanasakeru Seishounen was turned into an anime. I admit that I'm a total sucker for reverse harems :)

I like your profile and your about me section. It seems we have lots in common when it comes to anime and manga. I can be really picky about which ones I watch as well, but I'll give it a try if it sounds interesting or if I hear good reviews about it. I see that you are also currently reading Black Bird and I must say, it is one of my favorite mangas. That, and another one called Night School by Svetlana Chmakova. ^^
