Hi! I love Japanese. This brought me to music, voice actors, and eventually animation. Right now I'm trying to build a vocabulary.

Besides collecting discs and figures I enjoy science fiction novels and pen & paper roleplaying.

Well, I deliberately checked it out more for his reputation of being hilariously terrible rather than its part in the Aura Battler Dunbine universe. It tells the story of the Metomeus tribe who have rebelled from the Ashibaga tribe and want to reach the Great Barju Tree whose magic powers will help them to victory; this plot is not resolved and I wouldn't know how it fits into the Dunbine universe as a whole.

heyas, that's a nicely varied top5 you've got going there ;)

sorry to hear about your subjection to Kanokon ova :P you'll recover eventually!

you may take solace in the fact that during my restless and reckless search for awesome anime, i almost lost my life to 18 minutes of Angel Sanctuary. *shudder*

Also, I saw from your profile that you like traditional roleplaying games.  I'm interested in trying that kind of stuff but I don't have any friends who are into that stuff.  Are there any other way to like... play with others online like you're playing a traditional game?

A story does not exist by itself.  It is a combination of many elements working together.  Light is but one type of element in one kind of story.  Imagine watching a movie that has no light whatsoever.  You would simply stare at a black screen.  Without this one element you can still tell a story, but it would suffer a severe handicap.  do you understand?

Thanks for the suggestions!

Will be watching Gunbuster as the mecha, possibly Gundam 8Th MS later. Kasimasi is also added to the "watch-next list", but only if I enjoyed Candy Boy enough, that seemed more shoujo-ai-ish :P
