Ookami-san to shichinin no nakamatachi.
This anime is produced by J.C. Staff, who also did Toradora! (Which I reviewed in my previous blog) This is very evident as the art style is quite similar between the two anime. Due to this, Ookami-san is very watchable. The plot, altough entertaining is pretty unrealistic (not that we are expecting realism, this is anime after all...) but the mix between the more serious parts of the anime and the rest of it made it seem kind of odd. The characters are pretty good, although many of the staple sterotype characters are present (actually I think all of the character archtypes are included). However, most of the characters have a tie to one fairy tale or another, which makes for cleverness. Going back to Toradora comparisons, Ookami is pretty much Taiga, but instead of a tiger she is a wolf and she is also tall. The ED for this anime is extremely catchy. Also, I really like Ryōshi's whole "mitanaide!" thing, the old lady in the beginning saying "Mukashi, mukashi" and the fact the Ringo's name means red apple. Overall this anime is very good, but not great. It's worth a watch, though. (especially for those who like Toradora).
