It's very simple. The name on top is always the characters main name. Any name below that are "Alt names". Keep in mind though that "Searchable" names WON'T show on the character's profile. Almost all "Alt. names" fall under the category of nicknames, JP names or USA names (USA is only used for the official names of the R1 release).
So in order to add alt. names, just click on "Add name" ^_^
