My real name is Willow. At sixteen years of age, I am an avid watcher of classic Shounen anime. My preferred genres include fantasy and adventure, but as long as a sufficiant plot and well developed characters are present, I can enjoy basically any sect. I attend nearby conventions regularly. My two favourite anime are Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto and Yoshiro Togashi's Hunter X Hunter. I suppose you could say that I'm drawn to mainstream anime, but that fact is simply because I have a lot of free time, and mainstream series generally have higher episode counts. I tend to grow solomn at the conclusion of an excellant anime, like many others also do. As a completely ramdon sidenote, I am currently learning how to speak Japanese, and am an aspiring novelist.

My Rating System For Reviews

10 = Absolute and utter masterpiece (It will never happen)

9 = Masterpiece with minor flaws

7 - 8 = Above average/highly recommendable series

5 - 6 = Average

2 - 4 = Poor

1 = Absolutely horrid

I may use these terms in my reviews...

Plot story = A story that focuses on the plot or the setting more than the characters. Basically, in a plot story, the characters are simply tools with which to tell the story. More than often, plot stories feel rushed and stressed, but every now and then comes a plot-story that doesn’t include these elements. Two examples of plot stories are J.R.R Tolkien’s, The Lord of the Rings and Tite Kubo’s Bleach

Character story = A story that focuses on the characters more than the plot. Basically, in a character story, the plot is interwoven with the character’s developments (usually the main protagonist’s or main antagonist’s). Two examples of character stories include Natsuki Takaya’s Fruits Basket and Yoshiro Togashi’s Hunter X Hunter.

Now, not all series’ fit into these two categories. There are some that manage to fill both, and deliver fairly equal amounts of plot and character development. This variety of story contributes to my favorite genre, and includes series’ like One Piece, Rurouni Kenshin, Harry Potter, and Naruto.

Sounds very similar to the average shounen anime xD

But yeah, actually sounds pretty good. Seeing as I'm extremely lazy and don't wanna look it up, I'd assume it's by Pixar or another similar studio? Cause Toy Story is such an awesome series of movies.

Just leave the answer, I'm tired and thus shall engage in this so-called "sleeping" that all the kiddies are into these days. Buh-bye.

Yep, that's exactly what I've heard. That's a muchmuchmuch better ending, too. Why they couldn't do that in the anime, I don't know. Unless the anime finished before the manga. Ah well, this new TV series gives us hope.

Kenshin was and always will be a great character, however after the main part of the 90s RK anime, I felt like the whole show went downhill. If they do this new series correctly and stay true to the manga, it could be magnificent.

On a completely different topic, I've been thinking of picking up Bleach and One Piece sometime soon. I generally watch one long running anime series at a time and then once I finish it, I pick up another long running one. Same goes for 12/13 and 24/25/26 episode series too. That's generally how I watch my anime, aside from all the seasonal releases I pick up. Anyway, I'm watching Gintama now and once I finish that, I'm debating on which one I should pick. What's your general opinion on Bleach and One Piece? I watched them at the beginning when they aired on TV long ago but I ended up losing my place and never got back to either of them.

I dunno, a good portion of our generation's attempts to seem unique are far-reaching. But one of the greatest things about this is that it doesn't actually work most of the time, because it doesn't take to much effort to see what a person is reall trying to do.

Might I ask what makes How to Train Your Dragon so special? I mean, I saw the trailer and thought it had the potential to be something neat, but not that great xD

I dunno, I think the people who claim to be bisexual are one of the following, but usually the first two:

1) Are trying to be unique.

2) Are trying to seem more open-minded and/or apathetic.

3) Are bisexual :P

Never saw that movie. But doesn't it seem somewhat random when someone comes to an anime convention dressed as an a character from an American animated film?
