This was far more better then the manga because its story telling was far better and never lost focus in fact it gave every character in GTO a chance to shine without all the unneeded extras added. This was one of the greatest anime adaptations of a manga I have ever seen in my life because among the great things it did was it characterized everyone a lot better most notably Onizuka who was shown in a much more human light and I think more believable as a teacher, not to mention a much more genuinely heroic character fitting the archetype of 'likeable pervert' and 'ex yankee trying to make good' much...
