Dragon Ball Z

DBZ is one of the greatest manga of all time. The story revolves around some main characters that are well developed and fortunately, it gives characters that have been developed since DB a break(without forgetting them) letting new ones in the spotlight. The story progression has a basic structure which is mostly true for all arcs, Battle(s)/Training -> Battle(s) with evenly matched characters/weaker vs stronger characters -> Battle(s) rescuer vs bully/hidden potential unlock/all out match -> arc decisive end battle. That is a good formula indeed. The universe is an epic one even though dinosaurs... See full review

Naruto is a manga that offers plenty of fun, sad and epic moments but fails to deliver other key features other manga series do. The story of Naruto is a mix of bad, good, great and frustrating moments. The first chapters were very generic and were trying to badly humor and entertain the reader. However, after the first arc many basic things were set and in a flash, Naruto became a ground of character development, good storytelling and controlled action. Later, the problems solved became once again burderns along with added problems. Plot holes emergedand the their scarce explanations led to more questions... See full review

Okay, BLEACH is a series with a lot of action and flashy fights. The story was good and and well developed at the begging of BLEACH. But, at some point, it made no sense at all. (Im talking about Aizen's attack at the fake Karakura town.) From that point, it was just silly. Characters appeared and disapperead without much of a reason and the whole plot lost its meaning. One more thing, at first, BLEACH was action/adventure/fantasy/comedy. After some arcs it was reduced to action/adventure/fantasy/drama. That didn't bother me a lot though. The good thing about BLEACH is that each character develops alone... See full review

Death Note

Sep 20, 2012

I must say, Death Note is my favorite manga so far. Now, I should explain my ratings a bit. The story would be 10 but at one point it went too slow, like the meaning of the story was put on hold for mundane elements that could be sokved in less chapters(im talking about theperiod Light lost his memories and the investigation at the company) but after that period it back to fluid, plot-hole free, suberb story. The art was good. I wouldn't expect any less. The artwork really created the characters like they should look. The characters were developed. At least the main ones. Light, L, Near and the all the main... See full review
