I've never quite been able to give up anime because it's a great way to keep the child in me alive. The child in me happens to be Sakura Kinomoto; the adult in me is turning day by day into Eva Heinemann. So you see the need.

My anime time includes writing reviews for Anime UK News and co-presenting what is arguably the UK's best anime podcast, Nakama Britannica. The latest episode is a review of FLAG, Ryousuke Takahashi's strange and unique war series. As for my tastes, I can forgive most flaws if a show offers well-crafted characters, and I sometimes watch shows just because nobody else has. Lastly, if you're looking for something fun to do, why not join in the awesome forum club, Find Your Anime Buddy! Go on… you know you want to.

*My rating scale: 1-3 (Poor); 4-6 (Average); 7-8 (Good); 9-10 (Masterpiece)

Well, the site is still a decent way of keeping a record of what I've watched – and hey, I've already gone ahead and written a review, so how 'bout that.

Hmm. Had to unearth an account I haven't used in five years, but the slight hassle was worth it just so I can tell you that your reviews are just great. I recently decided to rewatch Now and Then, Here and There for the first time in years; naturally, this led me to spew my endless feelings for the show to everyone and anyone who would listen, considering how unfortunately forgotten it seems to have become.

While I usually like live discussion to collect my thoughts on a series, all I had to rely upon for this one were a handful of online reviews – many written while the 90's were just "a few years back." Of the ones I've read, your voice read most honestly. It's also nice to be able to read someone who knows how to write a review; there are far too many reviewers out there that treat pieces of media as solipsistic entities and forget the importance of finding the greater connections between art and the greater culture to which it belongs. It goes without saying that your actual understanding of character and thematic development is refreshing as well, especially considering how often the medium seems to let such things fall by the wayside.

Your voice got me thinking the way I want to be thinking before I dive into my own culturally belated review to this great anime. So thank you for writing; I hope to stumble upon more of your work soon.

Good luck with irl! The sooner the better because there's that one show you're missing out on called Diabolik Lovers, and I'd love to hear your opinion on it. And before you ask, yes, it's so bad my feminine side got insulted... multiple times, but it's that much worth it... I guess. :3Best of luck!
