Puella Magi Madoka MagicaProbably my absolute favourite anime of all the time, I am of the opinion that Madoka is nothing short of a masterpiece. I could find no fault with the series, though maybe I do not even want to find fault with it, as I think it embodies everything that makes a good show. An interesting story, complex characters, great sound and music design, stunning art style along with interesting themes, not to mention a well-executed ending makes this series the number one of my absolute recommendations. However, it is definitely not for children. |

Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 3: RebellionThe somewhat dark conclusion to the Madoka franchise, this movie once again is nothing short of great. Though the themes along with the story are darker than that of the series, it is a very fitting conclusion to the long journey of magical girls in the universe. |

No Game No LifeNo Game No Life is a simply excellent show that I would recommend for all audiences except young children. Besides an occasional risqué joke every now and then, it is an absolutely joyful ride into a world that is completely ruled by games. |

Gargantia on the Verdurous PlanetAn absolute must-watch for science-fiction lovers, Gargantia has great ideas and execution. The world-building aspect of the show is wonderfully showcased, not to mention that one would never see some of the twists coming. There are definitely some dark moments in the anime, but that is to be expected from a science-fiction title. |

Momo: The Girl God of DeathFor a series that deals with death, Shinigami no Ballad is surprsingly cheerful. Instead of focusing on grief and loss or the cruelty of death, the show's 'grim reaper' takes the form of a white-clad, gentle girl who makes sure that those who leave this world have no regrets. She is not a cruel, vicious spirit, instead, she is someone who comforts those close to the dying. The show is very gentle and I would recommend it for anyone who can understand the idea of death. |

Kamichu!A light-hearted, beautiful series, Kamicju! is one of the most fluffy experiences you meet in anime. Though not particularly deep, it is a show that focuses on the good sides of life and does so in an amazingly simple way. This is probably one of the few animes that reach out to all ages, as adults will enjoy it for its beautiful scenery and interesting ideas while children watch on for its cute character design along with its upbeat plot. |
