Full Metal Panic!

Oct 31, 2012

I gotta say, I was sceptical at first, being that I'm not that into the mecha genre. But I thought that one time had to be the first, so I decided on FMP. And I can truthfully say that I'm glad I did. Not because of the mecha, but for the comedy and the characters. The Story is about a young high-school girl named Kaname Chidori that is among a select few on the earth codenamed "whispered". These people have some sort of information locked away in their brain. Information that could prove very valuable for some people. A nationally independent anti-terrorist organization known only as... See full review

Sword of the Stranger

Oct 29, 2012

I don't usually watch anime movies that is'nt related to a series. But then I heard about a movie with great action scenes and beautiful animation. So I had to check it out, and I've got to say that I am happy I did. The Story is about a kid and his dog on the run, who encounter a lone swordsman, whom they end up travelling with. As they travel, chinese troops, with aid from the japanese, are building something grand in one of Japan's provinces, and they are also searching for the young boy. Even though they are cooperating, the japanese are intent on finding out why the chinese troops are there building... See full review

Queen's Blade: Rebellion

Oct 26, 2012

Rebellion. What can I say... Ah yes! BOOBS! As the rest of the series, Rebellion is boobs with an anime on top. And frankly that is the one reason to watch this show. I had two reasons to watch this show, I won't lie... The other reason was the beautiful soundtrack: Kuiinzubureido Meinteema, which sadly isn't in this season. Moving on. The story is pretty much straightforward. Nothing exceptional, but it has plot twists, and a little mind bender. It ends rather unexpectedly, but it is kind of an anti-climax. The animation however is nice. Pretty details (in a non-pervy way), and a nice mixture of... See full review

Samurai Girls

Oct 26, 2012

Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls is a mix of fighting, comedy and ecchi. The series centers around the main male character and his relationship with a series of different samurai girls. Together they try to figure out a series of mysterious dissaperances of girls that have the potential as "master samurais". At the same time, the student council leader of the "school" they are all attending is beginning to act strangely and to top it off, a girl falls from the sky and awakens in the arms of our male protagonist. What is going on? The story is pretty straight-forward, but enjoyable... See full review

Elfen Lied

Oct 10, 2011

From what I've heard, this anime have caused some controversy. Still, it was the first anime I saw(officially), and has remarkably been on the top of my list since. First impressions are hard to beat. The story really caught my eye. It is heavy, sad, dark and moving and contains a deep morale. It shows some pretty serious things about exclusion, prejudices, abuse, repressed memories and mental terror, which really sets the mood for the series, and keeps it in a serious aspect. The animation is very good. It has good details where it's focused, though some moments are better animated than others. The... See full review
