Started watching anime in october/november 2009, addicted since... (Of course I watched pokemon on fox kids as a kid + some others, but at the time I was unaware of the existence of anime) Now I'm here to create a better system for my addiction, by keeping track of anime I've watched, get info on new shows, find related shows and find out what is popular.
The first show I watched was "Elfen Lied", loved it. It's still one of the top animes on my list over the animes I've completed (50+ different ones). Downloaded 07.11.2009 to be exact. It was my "first impression" of anime, and what an impression to beat. It got really stuck in my head for some time. Apart from that, I stumbled upon some other series that are really good, like "One Piece" and "Fairy Tail", which are series that really hit home. These two deliver in almost every department and genre, and I simply love them. I would also mention "Bleach" and "Naruto" but the amount of filler-episodes that just drags on pulls them down in my book(though Bleach is still enjoyable, the Naruto series are about 66% filler-episodes and that's WAY too much for me).
I also started to read manga after a while. I've started to compare manga and anime versions, and generally I find that mangas are better story-wise. Maybe not in every case, but in a lot of the comparisons I've done.
Not much more to say, except that I'm still watching anime and reading manga, and probably will for a long time.
