I am a french acadian from New-Brunswick, Canada but i now live in Montreal were i work in animation as a 3d artist. I like to draw, sculpt, read, watch movies, collect figurines and books and of course lay back and watch a good old anime. I really should get out more...

I don't know if it's luck or some sort of strange mental state, but most of the anime i've watched so far, i have found amazing and inspiring. It's something i would like to share with everybody. ^__^

As for my ratings... Well, it's really subjective...

Thanks! It's not from an anime, though, it's manga exclusive. It's from 20th Century Boys, which is quite easily the best manga I've ever read. It's from the same source as Sothis' (the admin of A-P) avatar. Same character too.

Hey thanks for the message and a little comment allez-vous from Montreal ;)

For some reason, les mysterieuses citees d'or are really popular in Quebec. I wholeheartedly approve, of course :) I actually tried to give the english and japanese version a watch, and I must say, it was the worst dubbing job I had heard in a long time!

Cool taste in anime btw, have you been into it for long?

well it's totally resonable to want everyone to like your favourite anime but you just have to remember that it just isn't possible with EVERYONE! XD

Thank for your comment, Verokomo!

Indeed, Serial Experiments Lain can be very thought-provoking if you want it to be, and I suppose you and Xplayer wanted it to be. ;)  I think it's great -- there need to be more anime viewers out there with an attitude like yours. What I talk about in my review, however, is that as thought-provoking as Lain wants to be, it didn't give me a satisfying return for the thirteen episodes that I frankly did not enjoy. Originally I wanted to give the show a score in the 7-ish range, but really, no matter how good the ideas are, presentation also factors into the mix. Because that's what art is, right? It's a medium, not just a hodgepodge of ideas.

Anyway, I appreciate your input.
