2019: Four year absense. An actual adult now who knows what they enjoy. Time to update this page since I have very different feelings about everything now. I officially do QA work for writers, and am now qualified to talk about the quality of shows.

2015: I don't think I will ever stop liking anime or this website. Time to watch a bunch! I didn't visit this website for over 4 years, and I still completely agree with 16 year old myself. It is currently my goal to shift the weight of my ratings down to 2-4 stars.

2014: I'm done with anime, I think. Anime-planet has gotten weird.

2013: Mirai Nikki and Attack on Titan are pretty great.

2012: I hate blood and gore. I cannot stomach it at all.

2011: I'm someone who changes their type of atmosphere every year. Did you know that last year I hated ecchi, and this year I love it with a passion?

Please don't trust my ratings at this point besides anything on this page. Before, I rated shows based on how much they impacted me. And that's fine. But as a hormonally struck 15-18 year old, I was way too emotionally driven and I definitely didn't appreciate good writing as I do now.

Pretty standardized list really. I look a bit of a different approach in the rating, but all in all, it's pretty reliable.

Btw, Kiss x sis, greatest anime ever. (Jokingly of course, but Clannad, Kanon & air, you guys still have my heart)

Top 5 Favorite Anime:

1. Clannad, Kanon (2006) (Why two? You either love KEY or you don't. And I'd rather a top 5 try to be a bit unique other than "nakige nakige nakige".)

2. Usagi Drop (I know of only 2 shows that are solely about raising a child. Completely untapped genre. Do not read the manga.)

3. Steins;Gate (*Looks at favorite genres* Yeah, doesn't take much to figure out why this is here.)

4. Cowboy Bebop (Didn't include when I was younger because of my bias vs dubbed shows. I love this series with all my heart.)

5. Haibane Renmei (I wish there were more stories about the world you are in, and not the events. Putting this here is a statement. Best of its kind, because it's one of a kind.)

2019: Removed Air from the #1, as it's not good at all. Read the VN instead. Removed Wolf's Rain as it wasn't my personal favorite show. Same with Durarara!!.

Favorite Genres:

1. Romance (Specifically what's known as Pure Love. As in the point of the story is the relationship between 2 characters.)

2. Drama (When done properly. Looking at you, Rumbling Hearts.)

3. Ecchi (Sex is an important part of life, like it or not.)

4. Comedy (Can create a contrast when paired with drama to create the most powerful stories ever told. A crucial part of any emotionally driven story.)

5. Iyashikei (Sometimes, I don't want a million things happening at once. Sometimes, I just want to sit back and enjoy what's right in front of me.)

2019: I had lolicon as a genre, but got rid of it. Why? Because it's not a fucking genre. It being there was a result of fatherly instincts developing.

Least Favorite Genre; LOVE TRIANGLE

2019: I put this here after watching Rumbling Hearts. That show was godawful and gave me a bad impression of the genre. Now that I'm an adult, I can say I still don't like romantic conflict. But that's not saying much now. It can be done properly, and add so much to stories.
