Hmm... my first blog post ever!

19 JAN
2011

I finally got to do what i was thinking about for a long time. I always felt like writing a little comment about the series i finished so i think it'll start today and will become a kind of habit i guess. I hope that level of my english knowledge will be sufficient not to scare anyone who'll accidentaly drop by my profile and read any of my posts. Anyway, let's get it started.

So the series i just finished is the sequel of To Love-Ru, Motto To Love-ru: Trouble. The producers done their best to improve what was good and eliminate what was poor in the original one and... I think it was a success. The storyline wasn't made as one part that was going on for all 12 episodes but just as in the original it was built of many short stories (about 2/3 per episode). What I like in this series is that despite it being ecchi comedy it still is funny. Jokes aren't too sublime, if you know what I mean, it always ends up that the main male protagonist, Yuuki Rito, despite being, lightly said, a little bit immature and unnatural for his age when it comes to his contacts with women, ends up landing with his face between the legs or with a hand on breasts of one of beautiful girls that surround him due to some absurd situation that just have happened. Sounds boring and happened a lot times in different series? Definetely yes, but in this series it still remains funny, makes you laugh and want to watch it more and more. One of the causes may be that the girls characters are very nice, each in other way. We have optimistic, cheerfull Lala, shy and kind Haruna, quiet but strong Yami, tsundere and bit bossy Kotegawa, idol girl Run who is determined to win in battle for Rito's love with Lala, younger sister type Mikan, experienced woman type Mikado-sensei and many more, in other words, everyone can find his type ;p Personally my two favourite characters were Yami (top 1 from prequel) and Yui Kotegawa (who changed a bit, but of course for better, through the series), they were just totally awesome. Additionally, every of this girls behaves a little bit different in one on one situation with the main protagonist which is a nice addition to their overall image. Also, a very nice thing about it is that it's very good cure for a bad mood. Normally when I'm upset nothing can cheer me up, I just have to wait some time until the nerves get off me but this series brought a smile on my face even during that time. There wasn't a single five minutes during whole 12 episodes when I haven't smiled at least once, not to mention that sometimes I was laughing out loud. I have to say that when I was watching To Love-ru it took me quite a lot of time to finish it, just because i was becoming tired after watching few episodes in a row. This one I finished in two days, despite having a lot of school work to do and I'm pretty much disappointed that there were only 12 episodes, because I'd like to watch at least twice if not more of it. I hope that there'll be the third series coming up or at least some OVA, I also think that I'll read manga someday.

Summarizing I'd like to say that I became a To Love-ru fan after watching the first series and it's OVA and my liking for it only became stronger after watching the sequel, it's very fun to watch and I can definitely recommend it to anyone who likes this type of anime, because, in my opinion, that's what true ecchi comedy is all about. It's funny, it's perverted to some extent, it's nice to watch and it makes you feel better even when you're upset. There isn't much more that I could expect from an anime so I was very satisfied with it and I think I'll return to it someday, what I normally don't do. Once more I think this series is great, I'm very glad that I watched it and I hope that there'll be more anime of this quality coming up in the future.

Whew, I did it, the first blog post in my almost 20 years of life. I hope that it's not too much of a mess in it, I'll try to improve my writing and make it more orderly and thus easier and nicer to read in the future.

If someone drops by it accidentaly and manages to read to this place, please make sure to leave a comment, even if you'll write that all of that was a piece of trash and I should atone even for posting it ;p it'll be the best way for me to know what I should improve on my way to writing at least readable comments ;p

Anyway thank you for reading, I hope that I'll be able to write something about every anime that I'll watch and I think I'll try to scribble something about every week new Naruto, Bleach and One Piece chapters (especially the last one ^^). Once again thank you very much and see you next time, cya
