This review contains no spoilers. Story [8/10] Cute. It was relaxed, charming, often funny, and occasionally emotional. They kept everything light and enjoyable. Even when the series touched on heavier topics, it was done in a way that brought no negativity upon the viewer, but was endearing instead. The concept was nothing special, but it had enough uniqueness and was executed in a way that made it interesting and fun to watch. Vibe: Animation + Sound [7/10] Simple and suitable for the show. The animation was cute and colorful. They managed to incorporate the music as a part of the storyline itself... See full review

Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren't They?

on May 19, 2013

This review contains no spoilers. Story [6/10] When the series first began, I thought it was a cool concept that would be fleshed out more to reveal some intricacies and order, but the ideas never became coherent. The basic idea was explained and then, from there, it seemed like new rules kept getting made up episode-by-episode. They didn’t explain half the things that were presented as questions in the beginning, at least not very clearly. Everything seemed quite random and unorganized, aside from the stem of the storyline. If it had been presented and executed in a better way, the premise was... See full review

Psycho-Pass

on May 19, 2013

This review contains no spoilers, so feel free to read if you haven’t watched. Story [9/10] If it weren’t for some questions that still remained at the end of this series, it would be a 10. The show answered most of the questions I had and generally concluded everything thoroughly, but there were still some things I wondered about or wasn’t perfectly clear on. Still, it wasn’t enough to bother me for more than a few minutes. The story is one big great idea, filled with some unique concepts and clearly questionable scenarios. It makes you think about things. I love stories where at... See full review

My first review! How exciting. I have written this with no spoilers, so feel free to read if you haven’t watched. This does mean that some of the specific things I wished for in the series I left out, but I would be glad to discuss them with anyone who is interested. Story [5/10] The general concept of the system of Kings and related powers was really cool. I felt like it had a lot of potential, but it was never fleshed out enough to get me truly interested. I wanted more background on the groups and I wanted to see more of the intricacies between them. I wanted some explanations for why things... See full review

From the New World

on Apr 11, 2013

I generalized this review to contain no spoilers for those who haven’t watched but are curious. However, you don’t need to read my review for me to tell you to go watch this anime right now. Just go. Story [10/10] Yes. This is what stories are supposed to be about. They are supposed to dig deep into the crevices of the world, exploring topics that are sensitive to human nature and will never stop being discussed. The stories that make you think and make you want to talk about things that mean something are the best. The setting and circumstances of this anime’s world are genius. It... See full review
