So after I typed out my goal to finish Inuyasha before the Final Act hopefully appears on Adult Swim, I went on a sudden and unexpected Inuyasha rampage. The fact that I watched 50 episodes in 6 days is amazing for me, though I know for some crazy anime fans on here, that would hardly make them flinch. Either way, I am shocked that I watched that much. I think I was just so eager to finally finish the series after so long of flopping around in it. Or maybe I was motivated by writing out my goal in my first blog. Perhaps both.
I got tired of Inuyasha yelling the same attacks over and over. Do the characters have to announce what they're doing EVERY time? We get it. Also, I expected a way more intense ending after 159 episodes leading up to it. But hopefully Final Act will fulfill me. I think I'm being critical because I burnt myself out on it. xD In the end, I love the characters and I enjoyed the story, even if many unnecessary episodes could have been cut out of the show. Side stories can be refreshing sometimes, but too many are simply distracting and make me anxious for the real juicy stuff.
P.s. - Rin and Sesshomaru will always be one of my favorite pairs. I remember a fabulous fanfiction of them I read a long time ago. Maybe one day I'll hunt it down.
I considered watching X TV next, but after reading the reviews and skimming the anime discussion thread, I decided to take it off my list. I think there are tons of other series that sound more appealing to me and I don't have time to watch everything that sounds even vaguely interesting. In the end, Noir is what I shall be focusing on next. I'm hoping to write my first review on it, once I'm finished. Heh. We'll see how that goes.
