There's a private message system in the forum, but these are for all to see ^_^

My Japanese is beginner-level. I wanted to take a course at the university, but the first level was 6 credits(!) and since I was already working on two degrees and had a job... I just couldn't take 6 credits that I didn't actually need :(

I speak German (that's what one of my degrees is in ^_^). Although I actually haven't spoken it in a few years... so maybe it's more accurate to say I understand German. My speaking skills are quickly going down the drain! >_< For some reason whenever I actually get in Germany, and start hearing it all the time, I can speak it fine. But when I try while in the US, it just doesn't come to me...

I actually like a wide variety of anime. It's true my current top 5 list is mostly romantic comedy types, but that's just my current phase... Gungrave is another of my favorites, and I certainly wouldn't call it shojo

>> Apparently instead of writing a simple comment, I had to turn it into an entire book, which then exceeded the comment limits. I was too lazy to edit it down, so here's the second half ^_^  Now my avatar's going to be completely taking over the bottom half of your profile page!<<

So, I haven't haven't seen a lot of the anime you have! But Death Note and Ghost in the Shell are on my 'want to watch' list. And you should definitely check out Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen & Samurai Champloo from your list!

Oh, by 'German student' did you mean you a student who is German, or a student studying German?

I feel so special that you filled out your profile! ^_^

Funny thing is, I didn't really intend to participate in the community either. I just loved the anirec database. Then I stumbled across the page with the list of requested entries (things that aren't in the database, but people are requesting to be added). And Naruto Shippuuden was on there. So I thought, ok, I've watched some of this so I guess I might as well give a little back to the site that's been helping me out. So I wrote it up, took some screenshots, and submitted it. Then I wrote up a few more series I'd seen. Then I registered in the forum. Then the user profiles got cool features added to them. THEN, the pièce de résistance, the ability to comment was added. And I was sunk. Because curiosity leads me to do things like click profiles based on user names ^_^

I saw your user name and thought it was funny, so I clicked it... But there is nothing here to see! :(  You should fill out your anime lists so that people can see if you have similar tastes in anime. And so that people like me who like to browse around profiles have something to read. ^_^
