Popee the Performer, the pinnacle of all crappy anime and the magnum opus of Ryuji Masuda! Transcended the boarder with Poison and the infamous and legendary episode Sleep. That definied the series.

Nothing beats gathering a group of friends and watching some shitty anime. You should do it too!

As far as ratings go, if I like it, BAM! 4 stars. If I really like it, 4.5 stars.

And then it goes to 5, the holy grail of everything I hold dear.

3.5, it's alright.

2.5-3, I really have no clue.

2, it's crap, but I've seen worse.

1.5, hmm...

1 is the Popee level, this is where most shitty anime go. But the ever lovely pile of crap that is 0.5, reserved for things on par with Funny Pets and Funny Pets 2, only because I can't rate anything below 0.5 stars. Or star.

If I don't get around to your message in a reasonable amount of time, I'm working on it. I'm like this in the buddy groups too so don't fret.

NP! I'd actually suggest just doing the two way rec unless you really want to write two. it's double the work, also if you want to make an update you cant easily update both at the same time using the 'update reverse' box. I usually only do one ways if, for example, im recommending something good for something shitty and dont want it to go both ways :p or if i can only see enjoyment one way. Generally making two one way recs is just extra effort, when the reason could be generic (ie, 'while A is more [blah], B is still [blah], so fans of one may enjoy the other [even more so if A to B than the other way aorund]) or something like that... there's lots of room to make it work :)

thanks for your patience and diligence!

Hale and Guu or Yakitate? I don't envy having to make that decision. I'm sure you'll love both, but I can't decide which I like more :p

I'm still watching MAR (and still asking myself why), but I really should find some more good ecchi shows to review for my blog. Maybe I'll start something once I finish Shikibane Hime: Aka....

Thai food is amazing - I went on a cookery course when I was out there last year, and I'm utterly addictive. Much of it is healthy, but the coconut based curries have a scary amount of calories. I need to slim down at the moment, as I'm getting married in October and still have to find the perfect dress!

Yakitate or Hale.... it's going to be a tough choice, as both have potential to corrupt your perfect list even further. I would suggest a few more, just to be funny, but it sounds like you have plenty to be getting on with! I'm watching MM! at the moment, and although I thought it had a few rough episodes to start with, it's starting to grow on me a little - even if my fiance keeps shaking his head in disbelief at the strangeness of it!

You're brave watching currently airing shows. I prefer to have everything downloaded at once so if it's good, I can watch it in one sitting. I'm not good at waiting :P

I'm still trying to be good with the diet, but I met up with AngloKitty tonight and we had thai food which probably isn't the healthiest thing in the world. Plus, we have friends coming round for dinner tomorrow night, so I have to prep a calorific 3 course dinner... But be assured, I hate you skinny boy :P

There is no such thing as a perfect top 5 - it's always moving and evolving. I've given up even trying to keep an ordered top 10, and would quite happily name 100 shows I think should be on everyones "watch before you die" list :p But glad to be of service in screwing up your previously wrong top 5, especially as Hale and Guu will probably make it there too. And as you haven't yet watched it, may I be so bold as to recommend Yakitate Japan? 50 something episodes about bread. You'll love it :D
