Gal Cleaning!

Oct 13, 2019

The thing about this series is that you can split it into two parts: Cleaning Post Chapter 8 The cleaning, that is some good shit holmes. Like, this homie be cleaning and shit and using all these cleaning techniques and shit and it's all factual and shit, that's some good shit holmes. Like the gal don't know shit about cleaning and this guy knows all the shit about cleaning and he cleans for her and their typical dynamic is pretty sweet. And there's like a cleaning tip per chapter, that's the good shit. And then you get to Chapter 8.5, which is the beginning of this show becoming a total dumpster fire... See full review

Gankutsuou

Nov 30, 2013

Story: In a nutshell, if you haven't read The Count of Monte Cristo, don't bother with this. To a greater extent, if you haven't watched Gankutsuou, seriously don't bother with this. This is more of a companion piece to the anime Gankutsuou than a stand-alone adaptation that can be read all on it's own, irregardless of it's source material. Nevertheless, a background in the original Alexandre Dumas work and then the anime would be most beneficial. Once more before I mention it again a few more times: Do not step into this without prior knowledge of the series! So, why did I say all that crap? Simply... See full review

Good Luck Girl!

Aug 7, 2013

Story: I just adore this series. The comedy was spot on between the main protagonists and the side characters in relation to them and each other; how it could be so perverted without overdosing on ecchi; the sad moments that the characters reflect upon and the bright side at the end; how the characters grow and evolve as the series progresses and the characters themselves that help make up the world of Binbougami Ga. Sometimes it's antics involving the main plot of Momiji trying to get Sakura's fortune energy, other times it's about side characters and going deeper into what made Sakura into what she is... GE: Good Ending

Feb 22, 2013

Story: I just loved this straight from the first few pages, where the main gets the taste smacked out of his mouth by a rogue tennis ball while playing voyeur on a distant third or so floor with some peeping specs. Comedic moments like these are present throughout, by means of slapstick, comedic dialogue or what have you but never consistent, as interspersed within the pages of this series is some truly heartwrenching moments, tearjerkers, heartwarming and it's a torrent of emotions. One chapter may leave you laughing, another may tug at your heart strings and convince you to read just one more chapter... See full review

Garden (Yuichi YOKOYAMA)

Jan 11, 2013

So, there are these characters, characters as in these... characters. They go into a garden full of geometrical shapes, rife with abstract patterns, constructions and the ordinary made into something obscure and unusual while keeping in the bounds of what we see today: Trees made of cars, mechanical whozawhats in the form of a piece of nature, all sorts of jazz. If you got any of that, then give it a go. If you're like me and didn't entirely follow that then go read something that is more structured. The only way this is structured is the progression through the garden. There is no end goal and the only... See full review
