This review will be in the form of an intellectual, usual DMC Fan: STORY: LISTEN UP YOU BITCH PIGS DETROIT METAL CITY IS THE GREATEST SHIT EVER. FUCKING DEATH METAL ANIME THAT KICKS THE SHIT OUT OF ALL THOSE OTHER BITCH MUSIC ANIMES. FUCK. ALL. OF. THEM. THEY DON'T SING SONGS ABOUT RAPE MURDER, MURDER, RAPE, AND THEY BITCH SHOWS AIN'T AS FAITHFUL TO THEIR ORIGINAL SOURCE MATERIAL AS THIS IS. PURE. PERFECTION, IT'S LIKE I'M READING THIS SHIT INSTEAD OF JUST WATCHING IT. The Seven Heavenly Virtues

Apr 2, 2018

Story: This is a very high quality show that aims to display the many, many bountiful virtues of... the Seven Heavenly Virtues, from Michael to Gabriel, Metatron and what have you. The names don't matter so much as their angelic properties. It's critical to this mini series that is a spin-off of Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai, which I'm told is quite an excellent series, by likeminded people. And everything said so far is in reference to the titties and ass on display. You're watching this for titties, ass, and more titties because this anime... See full review

Hey, President Trap-kun!

Jan 6, 2018

Everything: A series that was too good to last. We only got two episodes of one of the most dank ass series released in 2017. President Trump spitting hot rhymes as an elementary school student, showing up all those punk ass little shits and acting like a baller in every day of the school year. Class introductions, he practically smacks the taste out of the teacher's mouth with some Taco Bell bombs and in Gym Class, he uses those pull-up bars like an acrobatic circus chimp, swinging so hard his clothes fly off. Bitches ain't got shit on President Trump. By the time you get to this part, you could have... See full review

Bikini Warriors

Feb 5, 2016

Story It is about a group of buxom, nubile, female warrior vixens who are scantily clad. Do you want more? Hm. I guess it's technically about a Fighter, sexy Paladin, best Magician and dark elf... warrior/mage hybrid, I guess. She isn't really a magic knight as she- wait, she might be classified as one because since she's using magic, she can't wear heavy armor and I guess her armor is light enough and revealing enough to not interfere with her magic while still using a sword. Yeah, guess she is a mage knight of sorts, or the equivalent of a dual-class hybrid, not specializing in either and could have... See full review

The Cat Returns

Feb 4, 2016

Story Going into it, I thought to myself, "Hum, The Cat Returns." Not "Shit, kiddy movies? Man, this is balls" or anything of the like. Just ho-hum as I knew, for a fact, that this next movie, would look like a dog's breakfast after the previous day's raging bonerfest of scenery porn by the master of scenery porn, Makoto Shinkai. Movie was Kotonoha no Niwa (The Garden of Words) but that is neither here nor there. Just had to namedrop it. The point is, I had no expectations for it. Man, not having expectations and then... Dracula: Sovereign of the Damned

May 31, 2014

Everything: Check this out. Taken out of context and based on this alone: 10/10 Taken in context: 10/10 Two creeps and a guy in the window unseen watching Dracula eat a hamburger: 10/10 Dracula eating a hamburger: 10/10 You just saw the movie, which is a bunch of shit leading to Dracula eating a hamburger, where it should have ended but it went on for 20 more minutes. What it did after Dracula ate his hamburger, I have no idea. I lost interest because I sat through 50 odd minutes to watch a few seconds of Dracula eating a burger. School Days: Valentine Days

Apr 1, 2011

Quite frankly, this is some of the greatest shit I've ever watched in my pitiful life. This is so amazing! It blows the original series and the other OVA and everything else that deals with School Days out of the water, shoots it up, blows it up, shanks it, beheads it and goes on a parade with the remains. It's that ingenius.

The story is pure gold. A guy running around with women chasing his bones? Genius! Cut and print! We'll make millions! They want to give him their chocolate and knowing who he is, they'll give him a lot more than that, believe you me. the story is brilliant in it's... See full review

Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen

Jan 11, 2011

You have two ways to go about this: Watch the original anime series and be blown away by the majesty of Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen or watch it first and then the original series and be disappointed by how it can't compare. Granted that I've never watched the anime (But read the manga), but how could it compare to this? The story is about how Kenshin got his cross-shaped scar but it's so much more than that. It displays the violence of such an era and the dangers of choosing sides with a sword, but also that of a love story. The love story aspect shows a more emotional and human side to the killing and the... See full review

Monster

Nov 30, 2010

It's Naoki Urasawa. I would end the review with that, but I have to write a certain amount of words praise before it could be accepted. So, here goes a praise-filled review of yet another masterpiece by Naoki Urasawa, now in animated form. With extra praise. But if you don't want to watch it, you can always read it. The only difference is the lack of voice overs and that it's in book form, so you pretty much win with either version. Having believing that you read the synopsis and know the gist of the beginning, I'm just going to praise it: it starts slow, it moves slow, and it's brilliant for being slow... See full review

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Dec 25, 2017

Story/Characters: You know what I hate reviewing? Good shit, because you can't riff on good shit or drop fuck bombs like The Boondock Saints. This is one of those shows. It isn't deep on plot nor does it do anything too outlandish or 2012 with the whole "Earthquake pwning Tokyo and surrounding districts" but that's a given for the disaster scenario and in it's in favour respectively. What it does well, is being a good survival show that feels real while maintaining a mix of quasi-adventure/journey type shit and horrifically sad and stunning. It's like... earthquakes and shit. Hence the title... See full review

Eureka Seven

Apr 26, 2012

For the Buddy Group Story: At first, it looks like it's about mecha, or comedic-mecha-action-shounen-possibly-romance, but it's not. First and foremost is the characters, Renton and Eureka, and for the first half, a healthy portion of it is character development. I don't have a problem with that, as the character development episodes are some of the best ones in the series. It keeps enough of the plot around but it really kicks into gear after the mines. Things change and it starts to ask questions. The questions are aplenty, and thankfully it provides answers. It sometimes takes a while but I was... See full review

Bunny Drop

Mar 25, 2012

Story: Long story short, it's about a 30 year old bachelor who adopts a six year old girl named Rin. Those are roughly the ages but a simple premise leads to one of the most heartwarming and adorable series I've ever had the pleasure to watch. It's strictly slice-of-life and doesn't devaite from it with any fancy, wacky sci-fi fantasy whatever elements, and since it's just everyday stuff, it should be tame and boring but it's fun and so endearing that it's captivating. It's not simply Daikichi taking care of Rin, but also the other way around sometimes, and both of them learning, especially Daikichi, what... See full review

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Aug 24, 2011

Story: This didn't even need a story. If it just had mecha, explosions, ham and manliness with a barebones plot to push all that forward, then it would have been awesome. But you get a plot to go with your larger-than-life mecha and overblown speeches. The plot starts off simple and could have simply ended at 12 episodes in but with the time-skip at that half-way mark, you're getting another story that could have been a second season. And that story, is made of awesome once it picks up.

It's not simply the "fight for freedom" that does it but how as it continues, it gets bigger... See full review

Samurai 7

Feb 23, 2011

Alternate titles include: Badass 7, The Seven Badasses, The Magnificent 7 Badasses, Seven Badass Samurai and Seven Samurai. Other titles include most (If not all) the following: "7" or "Seven", either/both "Samurai" and "Badass". Straight up, I've never seen The Seven Samurai or The Magnificent Seven. But from what I've seen here, they're probably filled with awesome badassery. And you know what? That's justified in the first three minutes of the first episode. I'm not going to explain it, as that'll take away some of the fun but it's definitely one of the coolest... See full review

Baccano!

Jan 6, 2011

Straight up, this is a mish mash of genres: crime, comedy, drama, suspense, action and probably a few more. Something for nearly everybody and all those ingredients in the end form a decadent cake that may be brief but tastes delicious. The ambient jazz goes perfectly for your meal, but more on that later. It takes place in the 1930's and this is probably the first anime I've seen set in that period. I don't know much about the '30s so I don't know if alchemy or immortals were commonplace back then. But you can bet that makes it more fun; even if it was just mafia and Issac and Maria, it would still be... See full review

The Place Promised in Our Early Days

Feb 16, 2011

There's this one scene (Or segment) in the movie where Sayuri picks up a violin and plays it. Along with the imagery, the sheer beauty of both music and visuals made me weep. The only other time I came close to weeping (Sounds better than crying in this case) was with another violin but that first example really got me. But that's not to say that they're the only good looking or good sounding scenes, as this movie is absolutely gorgeous and a feast for both the eyes and the ears. It may possibly be the most beautiful film I have ever seen as of yet. It's just gorgeous segment after gorgeous segment. I fear... See full review

Spice and Wolf

May 27, 2011

The premise doesn't do it much justice, as it sounds dull. A travelling merchant and a wolf deity (A goddess of the harvest) travelling up north, engaging in serious business and economics at a slow-pace. As boring as it may sound, it turns the economics into something compelling and interesting, or at least I saw it that way. This definitely depends on what you find fun, as even though it explains the economics and logic of coinage and currency, this isn't everybody's cup of tea. Economics is half of the anime while the other half is the banter and dialogue between Horo and Lawrence. Fortunately, it's... See full review

Studio Ghibli, how I love the work you do. You're easily one of my fa- wait, what? Madhouse? Man... I could have sworn it was Studio Ghibli... regardless, Madhouse produced another work of brilliance with Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo. It might have been the animation; simple character designs, clean and not heavily detailed with the backgrounds looking more elaborate, providing a pleasant viewing experience. Or me being a sucker for romance movies. Or even the theme of going back in time to change things for a better present (At the time of the change) that made it so engrossing, or a mix of all three. Story Rainbow boners. Which is irrelevant because the tone was set by the subtitle. But let me explain: This shit is boners. It is all about the voice acting of an H-Game. And they have to get into character, if you know what I mean. I don't mean nudity, but getting wet. By sucking fingers and imagining you're in it. Which I mean she, who is the newbie to the porn game business. And... hm. Hmmmmmm. Ok ok, let me restart: This girl is recruited by her sister to help out in a porn game for some reason or another. These are some questional boners. My thoughts summed up in one sentence, and everything else is details. You've heard of many interpretations about what this video means, what this represents and the sheer amount of fanservice, be it titties, heaving ass or some real niche fetish stuff that kinda mixes into the boners and it gets real weird before long. I'm all about the last bits. So, the weirdness. There's a switch for it and once it's flicked, it doesn't let up. It turns into a bad acid trip and I love it for that. You know. Shit blows up. A lot. And mecha just tearing shit apart. Action in every single episode of this batshit insane, stupid ass series with twists up the wazoo. Wazoo? Humanity Has Declined Specials

Nov 30, 2012

Taking into consideration the runtime that can mean either two episodes of Popee the Performer, one shitfuck episode of Funny Pets or two (At this time of writing) episodes of specials- It retains all the delightful charm and crazy of the original anime while following a plot for 3 minute bites! Now that's quality. Adding the fact that it retains all the animation and style of the source material with the same brand of comedy and you got yourself a worthwhile few minutes that act as short episodes of the original stuff. What I'm trying to say is that it's pretty damn similiar to the original stuff instead... See full review

Apr 23, 2012

From Secret Santa 2011
Story: Behind the comedy lies a serious plot, one where 2/3 of the mains try to cure their crippling flaws: one of supreme masochism and the other of androphobia. Some more serious events abound, backstory wise, and infront of all that, overshadowing it all, a tsunami earthquake of hurricane comedy on fetish fuel, cosplay, beatings, violence and righteous perversion. The comedy it does exceptionally well, using the main schtick and character quirks without overusing the secondaries. Since it's what it is, it's slapstick oriented and verbal abuse aplenty, which I get a kick out... See full review

Is this a Zombie? OVA

Oct 13, 2011

Story/Fanservice: After the Highschool of the Dead OVA, I expected that 95% of comedy(/ecchi) OVA's are fanservice riddled boob fests of fanboobs. With some comedic hijinks thrown in. And bouncing. What does that have to do with this OVA? Everything. It has boobs, comedy, bouncing, adorability, Yuu and fanservice for the ladies. Usually it's half and half but this is like third and thirds. Or something. One's a festival that gets ludicrously hilarious after the prize is announced and gets more twisted, another is about a scroll and more hilarity and the last one is a game of.... cards? Voices of a Distant Star

Feb 16, 2011

Made by one man; a mad man at that. Only one like that could make a masterpiece like this. A masterpiece might be too bold a term, but it is one man. One who created a tragic tale of separated lovers; separated by time and space. I admit I wept a few times, once during the scene where Mikako messaged Noboru that it would take eight years for the next message to arrive and again later on. Some other sad stuff occurs and the waiting definitely tugged at the heart strings. But we don't know much about the two apart from their situation, but for me, that was all I needed. Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo

Nov 27, 2010

Without a doubt, The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorite books. A tale of lost love, betrayal and revenge, which made for a great ride through and through, with the writing and the characters as the driving forces of the events that followed. After reading a bit about Gankutsuou, I was unsure how it would remain faithful to the source material, with it being all futuristic and trippy (A bit on that later). I checked out the manga and found myself hooked, but I only found the first volume and left it at that. So until (relatively) recently, I left it unwatched. But as soon as I started it up, I found... Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts OVA

Apr 4, 2011

Baka to Test; it may be stupid but it's at the point of being stupidly fun without moving into annoying and this OVA is no different. As the synopsis states, it's an adaptation of the Festival arc in the manga. It's recommended that one watches the first season before watching the OVA as to not miss out on some of the references to events seen in the first season. You don't have to, as this is simple minded fun and can be enjoyed without knowing what happened before (And that the first season was pretty episodic at times). But it's recommended nonetheless as it would be a shame to miss out on the fun of... See full review

I can't remember why or when I wanted to watch Angel Beats! but I do remember enjoying it quite a bit. If I wanted to watch it, it would probably have been for the animation, as this is a treat for the eyes; it has to be one if not the best anime I've ever seen visual-wise. Everything looks so... polished and different from the usual stuff, like a tiger among cats; sure the cats look good, but that tiger is in a class of it's own who will tear those other cats apart. Is this a Zombie?

Mar 31, 2011

The first three minutes will determine if you will like this series or not. Not only does the main character get hit by a truck, but just before, he breaks the fourth wall by turning to the viewer and saying; "Oh, I'm a Zombie." He then proceeds to hit a few trees, losing his clothing and continues flying. It's that messed up. Breaking it down, it's a twisted abomination made up of black comedy, excessive amounts of blood, cuteness, serious moments and absurdity. And that's not even including the innards; or genres. It's a mish-mash hellspawn of nearly everything under the sun and sometimes... See full review
