According to independent testing, ThePatches is chii*
I tend to like the more inane and silly stuff. Doesn't mean I don't like a show with real content, I just gravitate toward lighter fare.
At this stage in my life, I want to be entertained when I watch anime. I don't take it seriously and therefore rarely feel negatively about anything I watch.
Kushitokiku would have me mention that I blog about anime for Otakuberries, which has proven to be waaay more fun than expected.
I was joyously dragooned into being a site reviewer here at Anime Planet. If your anime watching and English skills are up to the task, you should join up, too. Check out the Site Reviewer Recruitment Drive.

Notes about Ratings and Dropped Shows:
I will use my A-P ratings generally for my enjoyment of a series, not it's overall quality. BUT, I drop things for strange reasons that might actually be quite good. So, yeah... Don't read to much into my raw ratings, if you want to know how I feel about something in particular, just ask. You'll get a much better response.
Site Reviews vs. User Reviews
Site reviews are awesome, fun, and challenge me to think hard about anime that I watch. Site reviews take A LOT of time. Consequently, I will occasionally post user reviews of shows which I don't intend/have time to review formally. The scores in my user reviews are MUCH more likely to be inflated or inconsistent, because I haven't been thinking carefully about the anime while agonizing over the review's content. OR, I've put up a user review because I have an opinion, but I don't quite understand it.
The short of it is, user reviews are going to be a LOT closer to how I FEEL about anime as opposed to what I THINK of it. I know using two rating systems seems disingenuous, but that's how it's going to be. You have been so warned.

I decided to stick to my guns and limit my consumption in the fall compared to my summer insanity, and I think I like the results. Of course, I haven'... read more
Ugh. I am so glad the summer season is drawing to a close. Don't get me wrong, I've been loving Bakemonogatari, CANAAN, Taisho Yakyuu Musume, and Spic... read more

Thanks for the kind comments , as you say practice makes perfect : D
I see.
Fair enough, it is only natural to have differing views.
I am glad you are enjoying Blue Drop now. I had the same problem with the conflict between the two at the start.
Well, I have been to a con before... But don't get me wrong, I did really like Genshiken! Don't take my star ratings so seriously.... Actually, I'm thinking about revamping a lot of my stars, as I can release my "critical spleen" through reviews now, so that I can use my stars as a reflection of how much I enjoyed the series (something you should understand, right?)
I'm definitely not planning on giving Genshiken a score lower than 7... but I do have to say that the last episode was kind of disappointing... The sequel and OVA are landing on my WTW list, however. It was kind of scary how a lot of it seemed to coincide with my life at the moment, minus a closely-knit anime club and all the doujinshi. But really, college is SO different from high school... and apparently it's that way in Japan too. Other than Nodame, this was the only college life anime I've watched yet!
Lucky Star is the best! No other anime has yet made me giggle more :D
Yeah, and I was about to sign myself up to be a site reviewer, but since I'm really busy now in school and since there's the new user review-section, I decided that I'll stick to user reviews and do them when I have time, no stress :D
Konnichiwa!
you'd probably like any show you picked up from that list and wouldn't drop it XD
