Hello, Im Omega. Im an avid manga consumer and enjoy light novels. I watch animes on occasion as well. Most of the time, I will attempt to bear through all animes and mangas that I am asked to watch, even if they are not my cup of tea; though there are rare times where I will drop or refuse the request. If you do wish to request me to watch or read something, just msg me. For reviews, I will most likely write reviews for new anime and, eventually, certain existing ones. I will take requests for reviews when I start writing them on a regular basis. Feel free to msg me if u need anything.

Rating Notes: I can be a bit bias against certain genres I dislike, ie: shoujo/josei/ai/etc; I will try to give an accurate rating imo by boosting the rating of animes with those genres to give a fair representative or give an unbiased rating by rating plot cohesion and non plot aspects of the animes. I tend to be generous with my ratings mainly due to the nature of animes in general with their rushed content compared to source due to lack of time etc (though there are really generous ratings by others apparently). Also I do try to avoid giving ratings that are influenced by their manga counterparts, but sometimes I miss certain plot holes present in the anime due to prior knowledge of the reasoning through reading the manga.

List of Unfound Works:

Current Chapter Notes: If for any reason u want to view my current chapters for a certain series; just be aware that there are a lot mangas that dont update the lastest chapter/volume released and therefore the lastest chapter read will be behind; i.e. UnHtZM.

Hi! First of all, thank you a lot for reading and commenting my review. ^_^

Secondly...well, you made very good points, I realise it has this commercial nature that couldn't allow it to go fully into "adult" territory, so to speak, but...the original did manage to have overarching character developments for all seven of the main heroes, and that's what made it memorable in my opinion, while 02 only did for one single character, Ken. And also, I wouldn't count those episodes from the original as 100% "filler", since, even if they did slow the pace down, they always managed to advance the story or a certain's character growth a little bit (there's only one exception I can think of right now, but it's been a while so I may be wrong). Of course it wasn't perfect, but I think it managed to do much more than most similar series did.

Also...I don't know where are you from or when did you watch what version of the show, so I may be about to go completely off-track here, but from what I know "Digimon Adventure" was never intended for younger children as much as for teenagers, it was the American dub that advertised it as a kids' show and adapted it as such, and many other adaptations followed suite. I watched both the Italian dub (growing up, I'm from Italy) and the Japanese dub (recently), and from what little I watched of the 4kids version of the first series on YouTube, I could very well hear the difference: out-of-place jokes, deleted scenes, completely rewritten dialogue, the voice inflections...I don't know to what extent, but certainly it was made more kid-friendly. I may be overanalysing here, I do that often, but I don't think a, say, 8-year-old kid could quite get Sora's feelings of not being loved because her mother wouldn't let her play football like she wanted, or a big brother's self-imposed duty of protecting his sibling, or the themes of divorce and adoption. I mean, I know I didn't, at that age! Mind you, I'm not saying it's a 100% "adult" anime nor that the Japanese writer were trying to create the new Citizen Kane, I'm just saying that I don't think those issues you brought up were THAT much in the minds of the original creators. :-)
