Future Diary

Oct 27, 2012

Warning:  I said shit down there somewhere and I guess I said it here to. This warning was just to get you prepared.  Oh, I also said ass. Mirai Nikki has a great survival game premise.  The main characters try to kill the other players or avoid being killed by using their diaries to see into the future.  Fortunately this idea never strays off course and we are left with a fun beginning to end watch.  As the game nears the end, we bite into a few treats that were only hinted at before.  The bloody road along with the sometimes irritating romance, concluded with a most... Bartender

Nov 22, 2011

The anime's rendition of the insightful Bartender manga never quiet fills the big shoes that the manga wears.  That is what this review revolves around.  Since no other review seems to mention the manga, I will.  The story itself is genuine.  The execution of said story teeters off into some unknown character narration that absolutely does not do the manga justice.  Instead of making a 3rd person omniscient narrator (all knowing) of the story, each character fills in as narrator and tells the story of the troubled customer like they know it.  This really irritates me. ... The Garden of Sinners: Epilogue

Nov 7, 2011

I have mixed feelings about this Epilogue. Going from the high-end action scenes filled with intricate mystery in-between to a philosophical breakdown on existence and the meaning of the human body, it's quite the transition.  The movies have the perfect balance of meaningful talk and action while this is 30 minutes of philosophy.  Do you care where a personality lies within a human?  Are you interested in what it means to be human?  How about what a human consists of?  This Epilogue presents it's own view on existence through the embodiment of nothingness that is Shiki. ... Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

Oct 3, 2011

[Spoilers] Welcome mother f**kers!  Ahahhaah, lighten up, it was just a nice way to say hello.  I write this review upon reading another review and questioning the literacy and sanity of the author.  Plus, I simply loved this anime so why not spread the thrill of Code Geass. The story is genuine, yet revolves around an idea born into this world long ago.  Create a peaceful future.  That, to put it simply, is what Code Geass is all about.  Only in R2 does one realize that Lelouch's true intent was a peaceful and democratic world.  You may be wondering, "get to the... Broken Blade Movie 1: The Time of Awakening

Sep 28, 2011

Like the other guy, this will be for all 6 movies all well.  Dear Reader, take this series like a cup of milkshakes.  There is no such thing until now.  Ha.  If you don't get it, get out of here.  You should be able to see what i did there. The story is one to question until the movie keeps on rolling.  Will this be like some cliche other mecha anime i have seen before? No, it won't.  How do i know this?  Because I control this review so thus, I know.  A young lad is a loner in a world filled with magic, where everyone can control at least a tiny bit of... Air Gear

Sep 28, 2011

It's a nice day to read, dear reader.  Read on as I lose my train of thought and repeat the same thing but in a different wording.  Ah, well, Air Gear is worth reviewing because half the other people don't know what they are talking about. The story is definetly compelling.  It's all about ATs.  The world opens up once Ikki discovers he can fly when riding these bizarre much cooler forms of roller blades.  Once he has his first flight, the rest is history.  From then on, it's all about creating a team of riders to conquer the trophium tower and become the sky king.  Too... If you have just now discovered this show, i feel you're pain.  A pain of missing out on one of the best music orientated series ever.   I mean, if there is to be a show about music, then the music must phenomenal.  The story must be unique, and the characters better be interesting.  Well dear reader, i am hear to tell you, this is worth every bit of your time.  So please, make room in you're busy schedule and enjoy the Mongolian Chop Squad. Desert Punk

Sep 28, 2011

This anime through me for a spin.  As I'm sure it did you, dear reader.  A whirlwind of emotions ranging from annoyed to those things that come out of your eyes from laughing. You be the judge of how you felt, I'm just a simple teller of tales and opinions. The story is a unique one.  Cast out in the middle of a great desert, the viewer watches as our main character takes on odd jobs to earn enough money to pay off his debt.  Such jobs involve guarding a town from bandits, guarding a truck delivering shit, and destroying a cursed stone, to name a few.  The odd jobs are endless for... Speed Grapher

Nov 28, 2009

Surprisingly I never would have thought they could pull off ANY anime with a photographer and camera as main character, but they did. Its a hell of a note to, action packed, mass ecchi, and a ridiculous yet compelling story of a retired war photographer who meets a young girl.  It all starts out when Saiga is assigned a mission to infiltrate an underground meeting of suspicious politicians to take some photos.  Lets just say he gets more than photos this time.  As he stumbles into the main attraction, a young woman floats down from the sky.  The young woman see this and kisses the man... Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig

Nov 27, 2009

Ghost in the Shell 2nd gig is a rather complex story line.  I mean, so much happens it’s amazing I can still remember after watching it like 3 times, but I will try.  In the future, Asian refugees have started to come into Japan, legally, and started to take low paying jobs.  Without Major in Section 9, solving crime has been harder and harder, but behind the scenes, Major is working diligently to discover who is leading the refugees to a growing war.  With glimpses into team members of section 9's past and clues concerning Kuze's (revolutionary war leader) whereabouts, how... Iria: Zeiram The Animation

Nov 27, 2009

Iria: Zeiram The Animation is a classic example of an old school anime.  Its one of those animes that just has that old memorable feeling to it, ya know?  Well as the story goes, its really a far fetched bogus one if you ask me.  The most powerful demon, known as Zeiram, escapes and its up to bounty-hunter Iria to stop this havoc.  That's as good as it gets in 6 ovas folks.  The monster is invincible and Iria has to find a way to kill it before it destroy Earth.  Its a pretty drawn out story that could of been made into about 2 ovas, its incredibly slow and takes some... Nov 22, 2009

Story 2/10 You ever eye a piece of food that looks incredibly good, but after you taste it turns out horrible but you feel you have to finish it? This is what Blade of the Immortal is, a piece of bad food. Blade of the Immortal is about a man named Manji who has lived for quite some time purging evil people of their sin to achieve his goal. Manji was cursed somehow way back in the day and the only thing that can uplift the curse is to kill 1000 evil men. One day on his walk around the village he meets a little girl by the river.  The little girl known as Asano Rin seeks him out to help her get... See full review
