Hey, so I checked out that hint thing on anidb... I think I like anime-planet's a bit better.  A lot of the hints on there I actually didn't really want to watch so much, like Death Note was hint number two, and though ordinarily I would have loved to have watched it, one of my friends spoiled it for me and I no longer watch anime that... well that kind of anime.  :P  Thanks for the heads up though!  XD

There's a hint reporting tool in anidb???  Where?  I've never seen that!

The main thing that distinguishes AP from AniDB is the nature of the recommendations. At AniDB, Anime Hint is an algorithm; here, all recommendations are user-submitted (and that's how they'll stay). The recommendation reasons are required, and there are rules - you can't recommend two series because both have girls with blue hair, for example. This, in my opinion, provides a more accurate system where you can choose which recommendations you want to follow or not, based on the reason.

Plus, you don't have to add files to have an anime list XD a bit more basic here.

lol - that's exactly what i did when i got this account.  i asked the site developer if there was an import utility or something that i could use, but alas there was not so now i have two lists that i have to keep updated.  it sort of sucks too because now i'm pretty sure that they're no longer synchronized.  oh well, this site is great for getting suggestions for new anime to watch anyways, whereas anidb is more along the lines of ... where can i get it!
