This is just a bit of my personal whining about one issue in Initial D that really ticked me off.

What the hell is with this lonely driver complex? I mean it can work if we're talking about one relationship. Or let's say two - main character + his main friend and rival Keisuke. But Every single relationship falling flat because of some more or less sophisticated reasons? Come on... Allowing some background character like Iketani or Itsuki actually form a succesful relationship would make this all more smooth. After all apart from the racing the only other thing in this anime is romance. So why, oh why every single time it doesn't work out? This is really frustrating to watch...
Hehe I totally agree with you, it annoyed me as well. Still loved the series though. ^^
