oh, that makes sense... lucky for me I'm a native English speaker but unlikely for me I have zero motivation so learning Japanese is proving to be most difficult ^^

Dude you haven't seen death note... that anime's epic, it has some of the most fiercest and adroit intellectual battles ever, it will keep you on the edge of your seat sweating with anticipation (ok maybe not sweating, but definitely anticipation)... I agree with your friends, it definitely deserves a watch regardless of what your anime preferences are ^^

Your English is excellent considering it's not your native language, in fact I can hardly tell that English is your second language.

You wrote on your Bio that when you got hooked on anime and manga you started learning English, I'm curious as to why English and not Japanese? since anime and manga originated from Japan.

lol You have a lot on your "won't watch" list, I guess you only have a few genre you like to watch ^^

lol, love hina was the first manga I read as well ^^, I read it because of the anime.  Just between you and me, I sort of cried when it ended too... but you didn't hear that from me ^^

I guess our anime/manga "roots" are similar ^^

who cares if it's spelled wrong in my opinion as long as the person can decipher what the other person's trying to spell... then it doesn't really matter. but speaking of encouragement: that reminds me

“Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not like you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you. Love me and I may be forced to love you.”

I know that was completely random but I love quotes and I couldn't resist ^^

I saw you on the user page and I had to post on your profile for two reasons;

one, you have Love Hina as number one on your "top five" list... (I've never seen Love Hina on anybody else's number one slot) Love Hina has a special place in my heart (it's the anime that's responsible for hooking me on anime lol)

two, To tell you that you have to keep watching Black Lagoon, trust me... watch it to the end, I'm pretty sure you won't regret it.
