about me

Welcome! If you just found yourself browsing my profile it means you are probably looking for someone with an anime taste which isn't very unlike your own. I hope my list will provide you with many (or atleast some) hours of entertainment!

I'm the type of person that enjoys watching a good story. And with that any genre can really apply aslong as it's done with some style and taste.

With any given show I usually find myself annoyed by the stereotype characters that the anime industry is repeating into infamy, but I still end up enjoying some of these shows nonetheless. Also, I don't mind watching dated anime aslong as it brings something special (LOGH/Berserk/Cowboy Beepop come to mind).

Hey Spaceface, I am responding shamefully late. Just to say you should definitely give Princess Tutu a try. It is slightly off-the-wall but develops and develops and just has a fantastic progression. It is not actually slow-paced like Mushishi, though it is more even-paced than, say, Major. And, if you haven't already, hunt out ANYTHING by Satoshi Kon. Oh, and you MUST watch Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust for outstanding action and gorgeous animation. I think it's Kawajiri at his best, really.

Hey there! Thanks on the news about Fate Zero. I am a little gutted as, at this point in time, I have not even a spare minute for anime. It's getting to midnight and I have at least three hours of work ahead of me. It'll be like this till end April. I can't wait for that sweet, sweet May. ;_;

In regards to recommendations, it is now time you graduated to Mushishi, Princess Tutu, Nodame Cantabile and Ghibli's outstanding films Nausicaa and Princess Mononoke. No excuses. Hit those shows like NAO.

Oh, and I forgot to say - OF COURSE I shall be following Fate/Zero. How could I not? That show was damn fine. It and Berserk are pretty much the only anime I'm looking forward to in the foreseeable future. Oh my God, Berserk.

Uchu Kyoudai looks good from that one ANN poster. Do give me a bell if it turns out to actually be great. As for Angel Beats, yeah I've heard interesting things about it but it still never caught my attention. I literally need a massive blockbuster, age-defining show to make me get back into the swing of things. Those kinds of shows act as catalysts. I need, like, another Monster or Death Note or FMA. Or, God, another LOTGH. I'd love another Escaflowne, to be honest. All these things I'd like. I actually believe there is a curse when you reach roughly 300 anime that means you run out of things roughly corresponding to your taste that also happen to be amazing. I mean, truly grand shows become so thin on the ground, you can't help but rewatch what you already have and pray for the creators to come back to their senses.

If I may recommend you a manga, by the way, in case you ever need a break from anime, check out Pluto. I just know you will love it.
