Welcome! If you just found yourself browsing my profile it means you are probably looking for someone with an anime taste which isn't very unlike your own. I hope my list will provide you with many (or atleast some) hours of entertainment!
I'm the type of person that enjoys watching a good story. And with that any genre can really apply aslong as it's done with some style and taste.
With any given show I usually find myself annoyed by the stereotype characters that the anime industry is repeating into infamy, but I still end up enjoying some of these shows nonetheless. Also, I don't mind watching dated anime aslong as it brings something special (LOGH/Berserk/Cowboy Beepop come to mind).

MA thesis time has arrived so my anime-related activities are very, very low. We're gearing up for a podcast discussion on Angel Beats, so I'm watching that at the moment. And we plan to do one on Lupin/Fujiko in the near future, so have to catch up on as many shows in the Lupin franchise as I can. Beyond that, it's really real life things occupying me.
Regarding the first episode of Angel Beats (because that's all I've seen so far), I have this gonna love it or hate it feeling. It just packs a lot of bizarre concepts together in the first episode that sort of make you go 'er, wut?' And the result is that you either have to give yourself over to the show and just accept it for what it is from the onset or you are put off. But whatever, it's only 14 eps, so never mind. I hope I end up liking it on some level, anyway.

Berserk I was really, really good. Berserk II was even better (much smoother narration rather than the choppier feel of the first). Wasn't disappointed. And I highly recommend Mamoru Hosoda's new film, Wolf Children. He outdid himself, me thinks.

Yo Spaceface! Thanks for the heads up. I'll be adding those to my wtw as soon as you confirm they are decent. To be honest, 'well-animated' these days just means shiny CGI. I rarely see beauty. So hopefully, those are also gorgeously animated, and not just shiny!
Did I mention I recently REALLY enjoyed Mawaru Penguindrum? That was an zany but fun ride and I recommend it.
