about me

Welcome! If you just found yourself browsing my profile it means you are probably looking for someone with an anime taste which isn't very unlike your own. I hope my list will provide you with many (or atleast some) hours of entertainment!

I'm the type of person that enjoys watching a good story. And with that any genre can really apply aslong as it's done with some style and taste.

With any given show I usually find myself annoyed by the stereotype characters that the anime industry is repeating into infamy, but I still end up enjoying some of these shows nonetheless. Also, I don't mind watching dated anime aslong as it brings something special (LOGH/Berserk/Cowboy Beepop come to mind).

I forgot to mention - the best show this season is probably Ping Pong The Animation. If you watch anything this season, it should be that.

Hey Spaceface,

Sorry for the very delayed reply. I don't have any recs. The one I would actually say was decent (Haikyuu), you already dismissed. I've sort of stalled with anime at this point as I try to enjoy the current break in my work schedule by social things. But Haikyuu is one I look forward to coming back to. Like Kuroko's Basketball, it's a great Production IG sports show that's purely about the thrills and character quirks. It's popcorn stuff.

However, if you haven't already, you should be watching Mushishi! I'm a great fan of the first season and checked out a couple of episodes of the second. The quality continues. But as I said, I'm stalled on everything.

I'm rather relying on other people (i.e. you) to tell me what's exciting on the horizon for next season. :)

PS. My rating for Free is 2.5. The whole thing proved vapid in the extreme. I was expecting great sporting fun with wonderful swimming sequences, but past episode 1 it's all meh animation and just cute boys doing cute things. Ugh.

Hey there, while I'm logged in here, I'll answer your PM.

I am watching Kill La Kill. I was enjoying it a lot up until the whole 'dress that's barely there' thing. Then I got annoyed. I detest fanservice so much. Friends persuaded me to keep watching nonetheless and I'm enjoying it half as much as I did before, but it's still objectively the most creative thing in a long time.

Apart from that, also enjoying Kuroko no Basket 2. The first season was epic. This second season is proving a lesser creature, but still fun to watch. I really do recommend the first season if you feel like something action-packed.

On a final note, I finished Attack on Titan. It was brilliant through to the end, of course. But now I need to get on the manga asap. Clearly we'll not be getting a sequel anime for several years.

I sent you a PM in the forum. We've had a massive debate about spoilers in the thread, so trying to avoid that.
