Just another person who's interested in anime, and is starting to get to grips with the medium.

I tend not to watch anime I don't think I'll like, and I try to use the full five-point scale, so my ratings are more skewed than some. Here's how I judge things:

5*: Masterpiece
4*: Excellent
3*: Good
2*: Average
1*: Meh

My favourite anime so far: Kino's Journey, FMA: Brotherhood, Toradora!, Welcome to the NHK!

Anime watched within the last month: N/A

Absolute favourites: Kino, Misaki Nakahara, Ohana Matsumae

This is for you:

Although I'm sure you'd figured all these things out already.

Hey hon! Whats with the replies at like stupid times in the night? Couldn't sleep or something? Glad you're still reading the blog, even if I have been a little lazy with it recently. And good to know about your staying power, nothing like getting to an early finale for an ultimate disappointment :p

Yes, I got the dress. Not at all what I was expecting, but it's a princess style in ivory with lots of embroidery and a rather long train. I'm slightly concerned about it being a corset top though, as breathing is not an option. I should be fine for 12 hours... right? The selection process was relatively easy though, I only tried about 8 dresses on! It's true though: you know the dress when you put it on.

I think the IT job is going to be a no, purely cause I would be bored out of my tree and partly cause working at home would mean no social interaction with people :( I have always had a secret wish to open a restaurant, but no capital to back it up. I guess the trip to Thailand made me realise I *could* open a bar or restaurant quite easily, so it's something we've talked about. Would mean having to go to chef school though :p

You don't strike me as the weepy type - I thought you were more of a manly man. Apparently not though :p I suppose an arts degree will be quite useful though.... especially if you run out of toilet paper sometime :D But I'm always game for another AP night out, although I still think you wimped out last time. ISSUPians really aren't that scary :p

You do need to stop slacking and get up to the 50 watched though. Anime is good for the soul and keeps you young. If you do need any more recommendations, give me a shout, though it seems like you have plenty to keep you busy. Although, if you are looking for something utterly addictive, I cannot talk about Nana enough. It is similar to a soap opera, and the characters will drive you insane, but that is what will keep you coming back. Well, that and the kick ass soundtrack.

The exercise is killing me. I'm just over a week in, and I've only lost a couple of pounds, but I can definitely feel the difference. I just wish the weight would come off quicker! I never understood the running thing - I think it should have a purpose, like playing sport or running away from a tiger. I'll stick with the cross trainer and special salsa dancing - maybe even Zumba at the leisure centre this week!

So, what is this big news? You've not given me your new msn addy, so struggling to catch up there!

Otherwise, take care and share the gossip soon :p

Yeah, yeah, slow again, but at least I have a blog post to show for it! Managed to finish a 14 episode series in 24 hours to try and catch up with the Chii/Kira watching club - only to find it was an awful series. Even worse, it was my pick >.>

Wedding stuffs means things like my dress. Yes, I have finally picked it! I went with my fiances sister, who found it hilarious to make me wear dresses that could have been from Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. Walking out of the changing room in a sequinned corset with a net skirt that dictated a 6ft exclusion zone, I knew it wasn't for me with the amount of laughter...

Still considering a job change atm. I discovered the other day that I could move into IT project management for a £11k payrise and £250 a month saving on fuel as it would be home based. The only thing putting me off is lack of social interaction with "normal" people. Kinda sad really :p Simon told me tonight I should open a restaurant, but I think thats more to do with him sucking up cause he gets fed well :p

Another London trip would be awesome, but I hope you won't stand me up a second time. Even if you are a sad panda student. I'm not that scary, honest! But the war of degrees wages on between art and science, so don't take it personally. Not your fault you're studying in a lesser subject :P

Have you manged to start Noein yet? Or any other series for that matter? You should go in for some Yakitate Japan, as that has been entertaining a few people recently. Must say, I prefered Mushishi over Monster, but I think you may also enjoy Akagi and Kaiji too. Can't say I have read 20th Century Boys, then again I rarely read manga. Is it worth a perusal?

Now started my regular workout. 20 mins or so on the cross trainer, then 30 mins on some retarded dance game on the Wii. Keeping me entertained at the moment, so hoping to get that perfect ass in a month or so :p

But yes! Be good to see you on msn sometime, so give me a shout when you get it sorted out!

Anyways, take care and keep up the innuendo ;P

Yeah, yeah, my turn to owe the apology. Been so busy recently with work, wedding stuffs and general life, I've hardly had chance to log online. Glad to hear you're doing well, but how were the x-ray results? Good news?

The job in London would have meant working for a certain spooky organisation. Guess I'll stick where I am for now, but I am keeping an ear to the ground for any new and exciting opportunities that would keep me amused. More and more internal jobs appearing at the moment, so not like I'll be stuck in the same place forever.

When I met Kitty, we went to some backstreet Thai restaurant near Waterloo as I had to leave pretty quickly afterwards. Shame I couldn't stay the evening, as it was good fun with a few beers last time!

So you live with photography students? Whats that like? Art students with no appreciation for real life... or work :p You do need to teach them some proper cooking though, as they will never learn for themselves. Maybe even splash out on the Jamie book as it is a complete god send!

MM! is the name of an ecchi anime series. It started off as a generic, mediocre romp, but soon found its footing. Review here. Have you managed to start Noein yet? Be interesting to see someones perspective without the proper geek background :p Monster on the other hand is an excellent show. The first few episodes seemed to drag a little, but once it gets going, you sure know about it.

I'm going to try and up my watched count before October. Just bought a cross trainer today, and will watch 2 episodes a day whilst using it. Be great for my flabby butt, and let me watch some generic ecchi crap I can review. You really should buddy up with some shows if you want to increase your count - means you can't get out of it easily...

Valentines was lovely. A quiet home cooked meal, then curl up on the sofa to watch a movie. Much better than going out to spend a fortune on a generic evening. How was yours? Met a miss right yet?

Anyways, wine to drink and a kitchen to tidy, so take care ;P
