Just another person who's interested in anime, but hasn't really gotten fully into it yet, on the whole. I also love music (writing, playing and listening), reading, writing novels and sports.
I'm 22 years old, and am at university studying Modern History.
Anime watched within the last month: Trigun (watching).
Favourite characters: Kino (Kino's Journey), L (Death Note), Tohno (Air TV), Kurapica (Hunter x Hunter).
I finally finished watching Lain last night, deciding to capitalise on some free time before a very heavy week involving lots of physio work in the ho... read more
First blog, mainly because I couldn't be bothered to put this in my profile, as it's a little morose! Around ten days ago, having just finished Air TV... read more
Whilst both titles are by Makoto, and share a similar high quality of animation and sound, that...

Thanks for your kind words. I'm back for a little while, then leaving for a year again in November. :)
Next up is Toradora. On episode 4 right now, and it hasn't impressed. I've hit a little stumbling block on anime, so I've been looking for good series left and right. I've got a line up of: Generator Gawl (a reviewer I know's favorite series), Antique bakery (it's supposedly similar to bartender), Berserk (popular, and been meaning to see for a long time), Samurai 7 (I thought this was a movie so never looked into until now), Kaledio star (A friend of mine reccomended it), Outlaw Star (a different friend's reccomendation), Kemonozume (similar to kaiba, and I love kaiba). Eureka Seven (reccomended by a third friend).
All of them don't really have me hooked, so I'm looking for one that will just stand out and grab me, or some reason to watch a particular one of those.
So, I finished Narutaru. What a dissapointment.
Yes, episode 12 had 2 very disburbing moments, but when your expecting them all along, it really just deliver all that much (I found school days did it more interestingly). The show plummets into "read the manga" mode by the end, and loose ends are all your left with. 2.5/5 stars.
I like extremes of genres mostly because... well, who has time for all the crap? Just get to the best stuff ^^.
Lain is my #2, correction, #3 anime of all time (It's been in the #2 slot for years, hard to break the habit). Love that show to death. I assume you have watched it since your reccomending it. I found that, yes, there is some slowness and dialogue ridden episodes in that series. However, the tone kept throughout, combined with a very focused story made me fall in love, then the absolutely amazing ending (my all time favorite in anime) just brought it to the top 5 level.
Narutaru is getting on my nerves at this point, 5 episodes in and just about nothing has happening. Very little of anything that could be called horror or gore. The story is very bland so far, so I'm really hoping it picks up at least a little and makes it worth my while.
Konnichiwa!
Hey Silver! Lucky I checked my profile today; I don't check it as often as the forums... ^^' And no prob about the signature; I had fun working on it.
Anyway, the girl from my sig is named Aya Shameimaru. She's from Touhou, a series of bullet hell games! Extremely fun but very hard. She's a reporter, and she does a lot of things just to get a scoop. One of my favorite characters, next to Remila Scarlet, another girl from Touhou.
