Howdy! Haha, yeh it's all relative really, depending on what you like but that Fukushu does tend to kick butt ;P.

Alrighty, I checked it out and I think it's decent for your 2nd AMV. I was wondering about the song then I re-read your comment, and yes it does make a good contrast so I like your thinking there! Your timing and synch to the song is also done quite well (like on beat) particularly at the start when the beat first comes with the monitors, I liked that. There were a couple of moments where the beat and change in scene/picture weren't 100% together but that's totally minor dude because 90% was on. In other words, technically it's pretty much there. :) I liked the rewind bit at the end as well.

I think to take it to the level of awesome, would be to somehow incorporate a 'narrative' feel to it, like it tells a story (though I did notice it was pretty linear with the actual movie) or follows a particular character. If you know what I mean? But this might not be the type of thing you're going for with this...so

The OTHER idea (and would maybe work more for what you're going for, with contrast etc) could be to incorporate a type of pattern to it. Like serene moments during the verse, then violent moments during the chorus? Gives the AMV a certain roundness. (what a dumb word, haha)

Well, I hope my thoughts may help in some way, >.< or at least give you ideas for this or maybe other AMVs you want to work on.

It certainly beats some of the AMVs I witnessed at a convention I went to recently, just appalling were some of them! They had music playing to static characters in conversation and just didn't work at all....! But anywayzzz. Sorry for the lengthy post, I make up for my slackness by writing big replies!

Have you seen this Evangelion AMV? It's pretty rad, I'm an Asuka fan ;).

Hey dude ^_^. It's all good, as you can see, I'm pretty bad at getting back to comments as well.... ;) Oh yes, I have heard of that site, but I haven't gotten round to checking it out properly, cheers for the heads up on it!

Wow, that Beast Within was really good. I haven't seen many done with manga before, but that was pretty damn awesome. Lots of cool effects work I think, knows what he/she's doing.

For sure, I'd be happy to help out. If there's anything in particular you want me to pay attention to for your beta then let me know. Helps that I've seen End of Evangelion quite a few times, a fave film of mine :). Whenever you're ready/get round to it uploading it, let me know!

For sure, give it shot ^_^. I haven't heard of Nostromo but that particular AMV you posted was very good. Liked it, I might check out more of his stuff. Here's a channel on youtube I regularly check out. Most of the AMV/MADs etc this guy uploads are pretty good quality, and cover a range of shows and music genres, I've found a few that I like. See what you think anyway.

Yep. Totally serious. I do like that 'Perfect Warriors' AMV though as well, it's just that I really rate the song used for 'Fukushu' wihich is why I enjoy it more. This 'Whispers in the Dark' AMV is also very good. Metal and Claymore AMVs go very well together I think, even though there's a lot of a crap on youtube, there are a few excellent ones.

'Whispers in the Dark'.
