Oh, I'd totally marry you back <3
Hihi ^^ Sorry I'm a bit late replying to you. I thought I did, but I guess I was imagining things.
Haha shounen-ai. I find it to be okay. I'm sure it could be just as good as any anime if it tried... but it doesn't really try to be anything outside of material used to produce squeees. It can be interesting at time though, like No. 6. Harem is ... bleh. I can't do it. As soon as an anime starts feeling harem-y I just want to throw things at it. And slice of life... well, I can understand how it can be a bit dull. I'm watching Hanasaku Iroha right now, and it's starting to feel a bit drawn out. That's why I like my slice of life with a hint of fantasy so as to stir things up. Oh man, I could not imagine watching Texhnolyze, Then and There, and Grave of the Fireflies consecutively. So much heaviness. Need some feed some fluff to the brain and give a chance for the eyes to dry out xP
Back at you about the good taste! That list looks pretty epic. Monster and Kino no Tabi and Millennium Actress! Love love love. Usagi Drop is one that is looking to make my favourites list. And there's a bunch I want to watch there. Tatami Galaxy in particular! The one that I really disliked was Princess Tutu. The concept was strange, and watching it was a little painful. Haha I rather enjoyed the accents in LoveCom. It was different. Anyway, LoveCom isn't as high calibre of a show as the others I love but something about it really charmed me. As for Honey and Clover, I can see why someone would dislike it because of Hagu xP but I loved it for the rest of the characters. It was great to see interesting side characters for once that required some figuring out. Usually I find if it's not the protag or the antag, there are a huge number of cardboard cutouts. Also, great music ^^
Hm, KareKano is a show that I adore and would recommend to everyone regardless of their preference of genre. Don't worry it's not too shoujo-y. Although it does have other flaws. The first half of the show is brilliant, imo. The drama and comedy between the main characters is great. And budget problems give it a unique style that I did not mind at all. The latter half is a bit more scattered but still enjoyable.
I have not seen They Were Eleven. Thanks for the rec! I will definitely check it out.
And Ookiku is amazing! It's sad that it flies under the radar but I guess the sports anime tag is a bit of a curse. I don't really care for baseball as a sport but baseball manga/anime is done pretty well. And there's so much drama that can be infused in it! I didn't really like Slam Dunk that much but it is a classic. And Initial D, definitely one to watch ^^ Oh you didn't like Touch? I really enjoyed that one. And other sports recs... hm, have you tried Hajime no Ippo? Oldie but a goodie.
Lol Macross keeps getting worse and worse and I keep watching it ;_; no idea why!
Oh, btw, Eden of the East was a great series ^__^ I hope you enjoyed it!
And Texhnolyze. Lol, let's hope I survive to tell the tale. It's getting intense!
erh, takkun = tokugashi
Oh, and to answer your last comment, yeah, Auriga is my favorite as well. And unfortunately, I think that if you couldn't get it, then it's likely that someone else already has the name. And I'm sure you know takkun has been hanging out with us lately, eh? It's awesome.
Oh well. There's always another time. :)
