Wow, nice. Too bad we don't get awesome sales like you guys :( (just medicore Black Friday and medicore with the odd bait and switch hot deal).
Funny though, to me the air is massive xD(though thin and well.... lightish I wouldnt say its light). So used to netbooks lol.
Oh and if you don't mind me asking, how good a deal didja get on that Asus? Trample anyone for it?
I will try the movie (thank you for a more mangeable version). I hope I like it but to be honestly I probably won't.
Konnichiwa!
well, in my opinion, stardust memory is a relatively typical gundam show compared to war in the pocket. As with most gundam series, it has a heavy emphasis on combat and a traditional gundam story line. That said, I still think it's a good show, but if I were to recommend another one that, in my opinion, is on par with war in the pocket, I'd say watch 08th ms team. While it still has some of the traditional gundam themes, namely a naive young man on an adventure of personal enlightenment, and a fair amount of combat to satisfy those looking for action, the show distinguishes itself in other ways. It tries for a grittier, more realistic viewpoint of gundams and their role in the war as machines, and accomplishes this better than just about any other gundam show I've seen. It doesn't try to glorify the gundam pilot's roles as overtly as in most other gundam series, either, but instead at times shows things in the harsh limelight of reality. It emphasizes the relationships among the characters over the combat, something war in the pocket does as well. The show hit home, personally, when I watched it as a kid, and I still enjoy rewatching it from time to time. Shatner would say it's melodramatic, but in my opinion I think it has more real world relevance than any other gundam I've seen besides war in the pocket.
I definitely agree with what you say about the relationship in seirei no moribito, that was exactly what I thought was so unexpected and refreshing about it.
