Hello! My name is Sarah. I'm a 20 year old freshman in college. Born and raised in the great state of Texas. I am majoring in biology and plan to go into medical in the future. I am not sure exactly what I want to do yet but I'm interested in the fields of pediatric oncology, pathology, genetic engineering, cytogenetic technology, histotechnology and cytotechnology.
I first started watching anime when I was in Kindergarten when I would rush home after school to watch Sailor Moon. Around the same time I also watched Pokemon and tried to watch Dragon Ball Z but I never finished because my parents said it was bad. haha Back then I didn't know it was anime and I eventually stopped watching around the 2nd grade. Then one day I was home sick back in the fourth grade and decided I wanted to watch Sailor Moon all over again that's when I found out that there was a last season that never aired in my country. I fell in love with the show and wanted more then I found out that there was a comic and found the world of Manga. I was sad after I had watched all of the episodes and read all the manga. I started to write fan fiction and made amvs. Then I found other magical girl animes started watching those and so my love of anime slowly started to branch out into other genres... haha that's my anime story I suppose >.< I was often home sick as a child so I had a lot of time to just watch anime. Since I've went into high school and now college I haven't had a lot of time to watch anime but I'm slowly catching up during my breaks.
As for interests I love to read whether it be novels or manga/manhwa. I also like to watch anime. I love animals and volunteer at a local no-kill animal shelter, I am known as "the puppy girl" there because I am the sole person who is responsible for the care and training of the puppies It's a fun job although I do get a lot of scratches and teeth marks. haha. As for sports I like to watch football and MMA. I practice Tai Chi (Yang style) and really would love to learn Tai Chi sword but there's no classes nearby!
I obviously speak English as it's my native language. I also know some Spanish though I'm not very good at writing it. I also am learning Japanese, I can speak it on a very basic level. I took a 16 week class for my cultural credit last fall. I was amazed how fast I was able to learn the language since I struggled with learning Spanish. Thanks Inoue Sensei! I can read and write in Hiragana and katakana but I only know a couple of Kanji... Kanji is hard! I hope to be able to take the next Japanese course with Inoue Sensei one day.
Anyways I'm not really sure what else to say. I would love to talk to anyone about anime, manga, or other things too. Message me on here if you want to talk. Or for those who have a gaiaonline account I go on there every now and then heres a link to my profile: http://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/fan_girl_sarah-chan/30158877/
