Elfen Lied
This is a great anime. If you can get past the gore and language then this is a great anime to watch. It mixes a lot of themes that you would not normally see in an anime. It is a must watch.

Death Note
The best anime I have watched, it has everything to love.It plays the anti-hero theme very well. Every episode leaves you wanted to watch the next, even the last one, which sadly at the time is the last.
