So I've been seeing this pop up alot over the past few months on which people prefer more, anime or manga. Personally I always have prefered anime over manga, but now I'm not so sure. See, I never really got to read much manga before now so to me it wasn't really a contest, though unfair on my part for not giving it a chance, that was just how I felt about it. But now that I've been reading some more manga, I'm struck at a 50/50 spot on which I like more. The Anime to me is usually always amazing, the voice acting and the way the story is played out.
But now that I've actually read a few manga, I must say that I also prefer it this way as well. With the manga, you can go deeper into the plot and, shall we say, explore the characters and surroundings better. Plus, as I've come to realize, a lot of manga take the story to new heights and take you farther into the storyline than many of the anime counterparts. There is just more of a build-up when it comes to the manga vs the anime.
I'm still pretty undecided on which I like more, and as of right now for this perticular debate, I'm going with both. I love the animes for various reasons, and I really enjoy the manga for other reasons. I guess I just think that the combination of both are good enough for me personally. And if I do watch a show and end up loving it, I can then read the manga to see how differently it plays out compaired to how the anime made it, or vise versa.
So, anyone else have any thoughts on the anime vs manga debate? I'd love to see what you guys think and hear your opinions on which you prefer more (or both if you like it that way). This topic as I have stated before, has been brought to my attention quite frequently as of late, so I figured it would be a good chance to talk about it and hear opinions from both sides of the fans, as well as fans who like/love both, like myself.
Allthough they are definitely related I don't think you can compare them easily. Both have their own merits, and while manga has great art and depth, anime can translate so much more in term of emotion and excitement because animation, music and seiyuu work together.
I hope I got across what I wanted to say because I tried to squeeze it into two sentences -.-
Oh, I absolutly agree, which is why it was so hard for me to choose between the two. You have the voice actors, music score, ect in the anime which make it great, and then with the manga you have the art, style of writing, and things like that..and sometimes to me that makes it better. But yea, i still stick with both I think Haha.
