I'm in serious need of something light and fluffly and girly. Seriously, the thought of ripping on Hachi doesn't even amuse me anymore, just the thought of her is getting me more riled up. So instead I'm going to be angry at the jerk of a violin player in La Corda because at least I can sympathize with the main character that way.

La Corda D'oro ~ primo passo ~ Episode 3
I need to re-learn all of these guy's names. Hihara Hihara Hihara Hihara Hihara... easy to say but not so easy to type... So, Hihara's character is quite cute, and his concern for Hino-chan (should I be typing out honorifics? feels weird for some reason...) is quite charming and endearing. If I didn't think that the piano guy was going to get together with her, I'd be rooting for this guy. No, wait, I take it back, I'm rooting for this guy in whatever he sets out to do, and hope he accomplishes it without too much hardship.
I underestimated the healing power of the intro for this anime. Such a pretty song, a pretty voice singing it too. For once I acutally think I'd be able to pull off singing a song I hear...
Hihara, you are AWESOME for rescuing her like that! Seriously! +10 Musical Internets for you!
Stupid jealous girl! "We don't approve of this!" TOO BAD YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT NOBODY CARES.
Hihara you know these girls too well. You play them almost as well as you play your trumpet. Nyahaha.
"Making noise and making music are two different things. I feel like I'm beginning to understand that." *Headdesk* Really? It took you more than 2 whole episodes to figure this out? -_-
Wait, she needs a piano accompanist in the competition? I don't remember that... maybe it's just been too long since they explained it. Oh well. I guess this is where the other General Studies student saves the day!
I suppose I should put more of an effort in writing out what I'm commenting to, kind of pointless to type out my reactions if I don't know what I'm reacting TO, after all... So Hino has stumbled upon Tsukimori (another name to know, except his also rolls off the tongue decently as well) the jerk-wad violinist arguing with some upper-classman. I almost feel sorry for him getting shoved against a wall, but then I remember that his jerk-wad-i-ness is what caused it to happen and I don't feel sorry for him anymore. I can't believe that Hino doused them with water from the vase though... like, whoa, you could have just stepped in and asked them to stop, it's not like they'd turn around and shove you against a wall too, you'd have the power of femininity on your side... "Girls against violence?" Really Hino?
Psh, cowardly boys ran away instead of trying to help her. Idiots.
But-- Tsukimori's all concerned? WOW. Clearly he's smitten with her, then! Huh, my teenage heart is all a-flutter seeing him not just concerned about her bleeding, but soaking wet as well. I'm not saying I'm attracted to him, he's a cartoon character after all, but teenage me would have really loved this scene, I know it... Oh wow, and taking off the tie too? SO much better than just taking off the shirt...
"You play the violin with these fingers, do you not?" Wow. Moment killed.
I wonder... who was watching? A girl from the music department, obviously, but... could have been anyone... I can't even make a guess, I feel like if I did I'd be jynxing it...
I can't believe that he's only worried about her performance being affected because of the cuts on her fingers from falling on that vase. It's a cover story, gotta be.
Tsukimori's all over the map with me. "Whether you love it or hate it is completely pointless"? Really? Dude, you have a heart of stone. As an amateur musician who is so very much in love with the sound of the piano, that really hurt. Seriously.
Oh, but, apparently asking why he plays the violin at all strikes a nerve on his end. Ooohhh, dramatic backstory. I sense that his older sister whom he was extremely close to died as a result of a car accident, and she loved to play the violin, and with her dying words she said something to the affect of keeping music close to you, but he misunderstood what she meant and thus plays the violin seeking perfection in everything that he plays because she worked so very hard at the violin every day and that's his way of keeping her close to him. Yup. This is forever documented so we'll see how far off I am when his backstory gets revealled.
Hmm, wonder what the teacher-guy wants with the other competitors... maybe to give Hino a helping hand?
Lulz, seems like Hino accidentally got back at... Tsuchiura (whoa, what a name, don't know how I'm gonna remember that one) for nearly knocking her down the stairs. He gets points for grabbing her, but still, it was his fault in the first place.
Uh-oh, Tsukimori's on a mission... he's going to say something to Hino, I know it.
Hah, awesome Teacher-guy is good at guilt-tripping him. "She stuck up for you? Go give this to her." Lulz.
Poor Hino's freaking out, the selection stuff for the competition's out. It doesn't surprise me that Tsukimori's not going to help her, but still... BOO to you, sir!
OOOHHHH, Tsuchiura are you picking a fight? DO IT DO IT DO IT! I don't care if you're not planning to punch him, just ruffle his feathers a bit!
And with that little bit of dialogue, they are now in an epic contest! YUS!
Hmmm... well, that ended rather bitter-sweetly. After all that, it never came about that Hino needed a pianist... I hope that... (re-typing his name will help me remember it, I know it!) Tsuchiura will... bah, now I can't even remember what I was going to type because I was so focused on trying to learn his name...
I find Hino's friend gushing over all of the Music Studies students to be quite hilarious. "A Girl's Youthful Delusions." Aahh, to be a teenager again! I'm growing to (almost) miss those days!
A mysterious General Studies student walks into what appears to be a music store, and the shop owner is happily surprised to see them, saying they haven't been in for a while. Ah, I guess Tsuchiura's big pianist reveal is about to be known to the inattentive viewer who didn't realize that he was playing the piano in the intro! :D
Aahh, what a beautiful tone... Yes, I had to stop and comment on the sound of a single key on the piano being struck. I don't care.
Hino, you've got pretty damn good ears because I sure couldn't hear whatever it is you heard that led you down a dark alleyway...
Aahh, and I have more than one note to gush over! Wow, Tsuchiura can really play! Beautiful! Fantasia... I'll need to rememer that... (I searched it up on YouTube and apparently it's called Fantasie Impromptu. So, to whoever did the subs that are shown on ANN which is how I'm watching this, I am disappoint.) I'll never be good enough to play it, but wow... definitely something for the iPod...
OUCH that slam of the keys relaly took me out of the moment. >_<
Oh, jeeze, Tsuchiura's pissed! Oh... or... just defensive...? Wow... that's... not how I was expecting him to react. Maybe he tried out to be in Musical Studies and got rejected, so it's a sore spot for him?
"A Beginning"? That's a very interesting theme to pick for the music competition... I'm truly not sure what I would pick for a piece if that theme were presented to me. Not that I'm well-versed in Classical music to begin with, but... wow, that really forces you to pick something you have an emotional connection with. That should make for some great performances!
HAHA! HE BLUSHES! Poor Tsuchiura, you just realized what you did/your compromising position after the old shop owner told you to calm down, didn't you? Why does that amuse me so? XD
"Then why not have Ryo do it?" asks the shop owner referring to Hino needing an accompaniest. Aahh, good girl Hino, you remembered to use your feminine wiles this time! :D
Aahh, his mother is a piano teacher, eh? Lol, poor Ryo (soooo much easier to remember than Tsuchiura), don't panic. The shop owner is just good at spotting romance before it blooms. Relax, let it flow!
... Aww, that piano thing really is a sore spot for him. :*( Poor guy. I can understand that. Something pretty harsh must have happened...
Hah, Yunoki's too kind-hearted to see how this girl stuff works. Oh, that's right! I had forgotten it was just like the Prince Yuki Fan Club! Aahh, I don't think any of Yunoki's fangirls would be a good accompaniest for Hino!
Oohh, the girl that's watching again! I wonder if it's the clarinetist? I know, I'm probably jynxing it, but it seems like the best fit right now, provided it isn't another character...
Oh, and it looks like it is another character. Darn. Oh well. So what's her story, I wonder?
Huh, it looks like she earnestly wants to be Hino's accompaniest. I'm liking the look of her right now, cute, kind, seemingly sincere... of course for all I know she's probably a spy for the fan club girls.
Ohp, looks like that serious look that Hino didn't see just confirmed that she's not as nice as she pretended. Ryo should totally save her when the bad thing happens.
Wow, and the episode's over already? It seems like an odd place to cut off, not at all like the epic cliffhangers of awesomeness that the last two episodes held. Ah well. Time to figure out what else I'm going to do with my evening.
