Welcome to a new blog-post where I rant about stuff like I always do. Today's topic is the anime Sword Art Online, also known as SAO.
I recently got in a discussion with a fanboy on youtube while listening to a cover of the Japanes opening of the first half of the show, "Crossing Field" By LiSA (Composed by Yuki Kajiura, one of my favourite composers). There was this kid that said that SAO was the No. one anime of 2012, might even like ever. And with me being the voice of reason in a world that's currently a big group of fanboys, I naturally reacted and argued against what the person was stating and said that there were tons of far more compelling anime during 2012, and then some random fanboy enters the stage and say that SAO was ranked No. #1 anime (Without stating where he had that from) And said that I had bad taste. Once again I reacted by listing up the No. 1 anime on MAL (Gintama') and here, on Anime-Planet (FullMetal Alchemist; Brotherhood) as well as summing up the plot, which wasn't there really.
Now, moving on. I am interested to see if any SAO fanboys see this (Which I hogighly doubt) and comment. Personally, I classify SAO just over bad shows like School Days, or mainsream shows like Naruto. It had some entertainment value, but there was no real story to it, they were just repeating the same plot over and over again! Kill the boss, proceeed, kill the boss, proceed. That's the formula of SAO, with some forced romance and a sex-icon sister!
Well, because I got better things to do for now, Sayonara!
