I really like slapstick humor, so I might just give it try. But I feel the same exact way about anime. I haven't seen many, but I feel as if I've already watched every one that will leave a lasting impression on me. Overall, my favorites have to be Trigun and Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, but just like Aria, they always seem to be a hit or a miss. What is your favorite?

Sounds interesting. Is there at least some comedy woven in. I never do too well with slow paced shows.

I am into Slice of Life, though shows like Usagi Drop aren't usually my cup of tea. It might possibly be a series I watch sooner or later, though. As for Aria the Animation, I've never heard of it. Time to look some stuff up.

I haven't completely watched Katanagatari yet, but its on my watching list. I just started it this weekend and I'm pretty impressed so far. The art is interesting, and Yasuri Nanami is a very kick-ass character. I'm surprised that for once there's actually a woman in anime who can fend for herself. I chose Togame as my avatar though, because she has to be the funniest character in the whole show. I have a feeling that this is going to be a fantastic anime. I could never watch it in one sitting, though! While I am guilty of being a marathoner, I could never sit and watch twelve 50 minute episodes in one sitting. So far I've stuck to a schedule of one episode per night.

Heh...a "bronie"....That made my day.

But other than that, Ouran is awesome! I saw one episode and I was hooked. It's the anime that got me into anime! (well, besides Pokemon. I didn't really know that was anime when I watched it). Also, I'm glad someone else shares my confusion at the popularity of Haruhi. I seriously watched it expecting to laugh and love the characters, but when I did it was disappointing. I don't see why Haruhi is such a "cool" character when really all she does is sexually harass others in order to get what she wants. And lastly, Saiunkoku Monogatari deserves so much more than it gets. I know at first I didn't love it either, but it can be extremely good and interesting if you let it. I'd assume from your comment that you agree :)
