I'm currently an English Major--aspiring Creative Writing Major--living in Seattle Washington. Anime and Video Games are both things I enjoy in varying quatities, but I also enjoy surfing, spelunking, hiking and anything else I can afford. My anime interests are usually exhausted in large quantities over short, segregated periods of time; however, even if I'm not presently watching anime I don't mind taking time to rate, discuss, or recommend series or movies. My love for anime started with the shounen and mecha genres but I've lately enjoyed romance, drama, comedy, and science fiction affiliated series. Even though my interests have broadened and my critiques harshened I still appreciate anything with a decent narrative and likeable characters. I especially appreciate anime with exceptional aspects that break my genre barriers and allow me to ignore those 'Ecchi", 'Magic Girl', and other tags that often raise a flag-of-avoidance. I'm always open to give and recieve recommendations so feel free to ask me any questions or leave any comments. Additionally, my favorite colors are red and light blue, and I like most edible food besides fish.
Personal Rating Scale:
0-2.5: Drop-worthy anime with too many nagging flaws to make up for whatever positive elements are present.
3.0: Mediocre anime with more positive than negative elements.
3.5-4.0: Anime that's an overall pleasure to watch.
4.5: My personal favorite series or movies that deserve top-ten positions.
5.0: It's hard for me to give anything a perfect score.

Hello again! :-) I'll add Lovely Complex to my "Want to Watch" list. I'm always looking for recommendations and something new. Any show that someone is willing to go out of their way to promote should be, at the very least, looked into.
I'm watching Vampire Knights for the first time right now. I absolutely love the animation! Even if the show was terrible - which it's not - I would still watch it just for how pretty it looks. My slight vampire fascination (no, I haven't read or seen Twilight, but my housemates have... that may be why I haven't...) makes it impossible for me not to love the series. Everyone loves a strong, stoic vampire who isn't entirely evil, right? I'm only about half way through the first season. Have you seen it?
I know what you mean about being busy though! I feel like everybody's lives just become almost overwhelming as soon as you get past Halloween, regardless of whether you're in school or not. Maybe it's holiday stress?
Ok, I'll consider reviewing R2. I just finished it with my GF and have to say we loved the ending.
I'll look into lovely complex too.
Thanks for the welcome! ^^; It's always good meeting UW people online randomly--what year are you?
I'm a mecha fan too but sometimes I need a breather from the countless mecha battles portrayed in Code Geass R2.
I'd consider writing a review for it but I think that's best left to a true fan or someone who is more experienced in writing reviews.
Konnichiwa!
