Heh. At first I liked it, I even laughed out loud at the end of an episode (#2 or #3 I think, it was the one with the stalker queue in the street =P). But then the humor became rather tiring and unimpressive and so I didn't enjoy it that much later.
I might have been a bit unfair with the rating though, since it wasn't that boring overall and I found Itoshiki-sensei to be quite the interesting dude. I guess I didn't pay that much attention to scores before.
I do plan to watch the second season sometime in the future so I could possibly change my mind. Perhaps I wasn't ready to fully appreciate SZS when I watched it. =P

Saw your review of Apollos Song - if you thought that was good I highly recommend Tezuka's Phoenix which is perhaps his best work along with Buddha.
