Ok, so I told myself, never judge an anime by the first episode. That's exactly what I did with this one.
I think I almost hated it. I dispised the artwork, and I thought the CGI in it was just .. awful. After a couple more episodes in, I got used to the artwork, and actually thought it was well suited for the type of anime. Once I got past that, it was actually a pretty interesting story.
Ristorante Paradiso was very simple. The main character, Nicoletta, was very easy to sympathize was. The rest of the characters were very likeable, even the ones that came off as rude, and uptight. It seemed to me that the story was mainly focused on grown-up relationships, and how a girl who was brought up without a mother and father viewed them.
The romance between the two main characters frustrated me after awhile. I also wish there would have been a few more episodes, just so I could have seen the love that Nicoletta had develop a bit more.
Other then the CGI which I thought the anime could have completely done without, this was a good watch. It was quite cute C:
