Not much to really say about this that hasn't already been said in my initial Ah! My Goddess TV review. This season is all about appeasing the fans who just wanted more of the same. While that may be a good thing for many fans it's also the reason why it's a bad thing.
Positives: More of the same. Same world with the fun characters you've already come to appreciate and enjoy after watching the first season. There are also some really fun plot lines that get explored and naturally the character development of the two main characters is a key element that mostly doesn't disappoint.
Negatives: More of the same. You don't really get back to the initial excitement that the concept gave in the first dozen or so episodes of season one. Instead you get to meander through some rather bland storylines with Marler who isn't really that great of an antagonist and once it's done you kind of are glad that there isn't much more to see. Sure there are some movies and the old series and some other stuff, but it's clear that once this season ends that the unique flavor has begun to fade.
It's never a good sign when I don't really care to watch the remaining bits after finishing up a season. If I do want to see them then it means I am still drawn into the world and characters and feel that I'll enjoy spending more time with them. Clannad is a good example of this with their alternate world episodes. In those cases I enjoyed watching more of the characters and their development, but here I didn't see much room left for anything new.
If you're a fan of the original series then by all means watch this one, but if not, then you're just going to get a little less exciting version of what you've already seen.
