I should ahve mentioned that the mod feedback will be in the submission threads, so make sure to check in on those and reply with comments/questions/etc there too :)
So what I would suggest is do one at a time, see the mod feedback, and then move on to the next image... this way you won't have to redo anything (it usually takes a bit of back and forth before anyone learns exactly what we're looking for :) )
I can ask the mods to be on the lookout for your submissions and to give quick/targeted feedback, and I can be on the lookout as well. What would probably be easiest for the mods is if you went to your original threads (which are in 'help needed') and post a reply with the new image, rather than resubmitting, but you can do the latter if necessary.
The main key things are that the char fills most of the shot (a small gap of space around the character), with around 40% head to 60% body. But yeah, grab a few and then the mods will give targeted feedback, figuring out good images is also half the work of becoming a moderator, so this is another good thread to read if you are ever interested in that :) (we are trying hard to find new mods at the moment!) http://www.anime-planet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=207300
Oh yeah, for Berserk, we actually prefer to use the character's first appearance (meaning the TV series), rather than any newer franchises (the main exception being selective series like Pokemon or Detective Conan where they run forever). That being said we'd love to get the Berserk images updated someday as they are old/small/bad

First off thanks for the recs you've been making, not sure if you've noticed but i've used a few in the weekly article AP has on crunchyroll :)
also thanks for the image suggestions - just wanted to follow up about the image sizes though. it's definitely bad we have video game art, that's a no-no (most of these images were added ages ago before we had strong guidelines). the one problem is that the ones you've submitted are too small (was looking at the list here http://www.anime-planet.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=133&order=desc&page=3)
Basically we want to put up the biggest images possible now, up to around 350 wide. the old 130x180 was because we didn't have support for bigger images, but now, the shortest width we want to put up is roughly 200. Is there a chance you could re-grab some of these shots at a bigger size? Also as a training note, we generally like the chars to be facing forward, and with a head to body ratio of 40% head and 60% body. Here's the full image guidelines: http://www.anime-planet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32058
Thanks again! It's always great to get the small/bad images replaced, since we only add the bigger size a few years ago :)
Wow, I could never imagine that Pluto was made by both Urosawa and Tezuka. I always imagine them as being from two completely different eras :O. One of the rare Tezuka works I havint read yet, great to have that in mind before I begin. I need to get more into Urosawa, start with some of his short works. (a bit lost in 20th century boys).
The thing with Monster is that I started watching it with someone else, I'ts been a month since the last episode. I'm so engrosed in it that I remember everything in the last episode perfectally but it's going to take a while untill I finish it. Will definetly watch it all again in a few years time.
Hi there, I'm guessing that you saw my recomendation of Monster/MW and by the looks of it your an Urosawa fan. I'm only late thirtish episodes into Monster not reading the manga and casualy reading 20th Century Boys.
If your not aware that I'm guessing you may be, Osamu Tezuka worked alongside the leading front line of the new manga author's generation since his time on the planet was coming to an end.
I strongly recomend you read the manga Black Jack that has to do with the ethics of an outlaw surgon with miraculous skills with a knife. I'd usualy say watch the anime leave the manga but this is an exeptional work!
