I'm new to both Anime and Manga and i have had a strong influence from my boyfriend - He reads and watches it a lot. I am now getting into it more, and starting to enjoy various genres.
Although at times i can be very fussy.
Paprika absolutley petrifies me, although i loved it, it's all of my worst nightmeres in one film.
I also enjoying reading Robot and i have finished reading Miki Falls.
I'm studying Fine Art at universtiy, so the main thing i'm won over by, typically, is the quality of drawings. If i see a book cover or film cover with decent art work on, ill give it a try. A good imaginative story line always work for me too.

I don't drink so i can just let you get what you need and then ill put it in my car.
Yeah Samurai Champloo is a quality anime. It's a bit random...it doesnt have a real flowing storyline...just a sort of overall goal split into different challenges they face. Really nice art style and animation of fight scenes. One of the characters is one of my all time favs. So yeah, i'd recommend that too. I'll bring that with me too.
You're up late tonight. I was hoping i would have been tired by now as i only had about 2 hours sleep at 8am this morning but i still not tired :(.
Not alot really. Shaun keeps linking sites where you can read them online but i prefer to get the books and most the manga i would read i would prefer to watch the anime instead. I've got all the Death Note mangas and the special how to read bio book. Also got a bleach bio book, couple of samurai champloo books and a couple of switch books so far. I built myself a bookshelf recently to hold these. I can come a bit early if you want me to i don't mind.
As for recommendations i don't really know. I don't know what you like or anything. I personally like action and comedy hybrids and mecha but i've also looked further a field.
Soul Eater is a really good comedy/action one if you like those. Well i find it funny...but i find random anime comedy most enjoyable.
Yeah there are loads of good series' out there. In pretty much any genre. I'm bringing a decent amount of anime i've got on the 22nd fopr you 2, like Eureka Seven and Death Note etc. So you and Shaun will have plenty more to watch.
Elfen Lied does get better as it progresses even though it's quite short.
Just when Shaun was telling me about you, he was saying how you seemed open to the idea of anime and manga and i just laughed at how well you have taken to it. It's a good thing. I hear your loving Elfen Lied. It's dead good.
Konnichiwa!
I was watching Asu No Yoichi and chatting about games with a friend. The usual.
