Story
This anime is very well written. It keeps you tense and guessing by throwing some twist and turns through its progress. One thing against it is that it doesn't let truth get in the way of its good story.
Animation
The animation throughout is good. I enjoyed the character designs and the action sequences. The standard is impressive considering its age.
Sound
Great musical score, poor themes. In some cases perhaps a better song could ahave been chosen to protray what the prioduction company was trying to put across. Excellent vocal performance. The actors really play the characters well.
Characters
Not brilliant. They don’t distract too much from the story, I do enjoy how the hero is very much not the sterotypical hero. It is interesting how each character reacts to the circumstances they are presented with. Suzaku is a little hard to understand also.
Overall
Brilliantly written. Definitely watch the second season afterward if you enjoed this.
