I don't know, but not being 150 episodes behind when I started to watch it was definitely a pluss over most shonen shows. Also, at least up to about episode 50 or so, there wasn't any filler. Anyways, I just found it funny and enjoyed the action in it, I suppose. Also, I enjoyed the story and most of the characters (quite a few powers I haven't seen in other shows before).

Ah well, I tried. I saw you liked shonen stuff, and Fairy Tail was the only one I really like in that genre (got a Naruto friend hooked on it). Sorry><

Shonen is kind of like what we would call a teenager boy. But it means "a few years." It is for shows aimed at boys of that age group (I guess young teens or so?).
