I have a black belt in Judo and Tae Kwon Do.

On my free time I learn Brazilian Jiujitsu and Kickboxing. I train with UFC veteran and WEC contender Jamie Varner, TUF3 contestant Jesse Forbes, and 3 Bodog fighters, the Steinbeiss brothers (Ray and Steve) and Tim MacKenzie. My original dream is to fight in Pride but with Pride gone, I wish to fight in the UFC instead. My jiujitsu instructor is 2nd Dan Gustavo Dantas under the Nova Uniao academy founder, Andre Pederneras who also gave BJ Penn his blackbelt.

I previously worked as an English teacher outside of Tokyo. During my free time I started my serious training. I trained in boxing at the Yamaguchi Tsuchiura Gym. There I trained with current Japan Minimumweight champion Yasutaka Kuroki. I also trained in kickboxing under Masami Kanazawa who also trained Hayato Sakurai and I started my BJJ training at the Nova Uniao brach there and trained in judo at the Niihari Judo Club.
