First anime I ever saw on television. I was 10 years old, it was  2 o’clock in the morning on proto Cartoon Network, and my mind was blown forever. At 15 I order the series as a bootleg VHS that came with a shirt. Still wish I had both.

Second film I ordered on VHS along with Vampire Hunter D film at 15. At that time I had never seen something so violent. Holds a special place in my heart. 

This film taught me that animation was and can be high art. 

This was the second film that anime could be high art.
